Over the past many years I have collected a lot of holsters.
Some of them, particularly the carved ones, I would put in the
beautiful category.
I had a little beauty contest this morning with all of the carved
holsters I have had as contestants.
Thought you might like to see the one I finally chose as the winner.
Myres #614 Tom Threespersons. Left gun and other accessories
out of the picture to concentrate on the simple beauty of the
holster.
Do you have a winner in your collection. Let's see it.
PS if you click on the picture it enlarges it. Click again
and it enlarges even more.

Hard to break it down to one. One of my all time favorites is this Colorado Saddlery for a 6.5" N frame.

I think the pictures are the best part of the forum. It inspires me to try and do better. There are some real craftsmen out there..

When I was making a few holsters for folks I got bored making 'Plain Black'. But, every once in awhile I played around a bit and tried to get fancy..

( edit: the bone grips on the 1911 & knife really aren't that white ,, just poor picture taking on my part)

I've always liked Alfonso's holsters and would have to say this one, a beautifully carved flap holster for a snub Python, is probably the best-looking holster I own:

Attn. Phil: note the small "dog ear", an interesting feature. :)

Must have been a very small dog. That is a gorgeous flap
holster.

While my collection is meager by Crazyphil standards, this Heiser 417 really fits my style. Simple but elegant.

Nothing simple about that lacing. Its a beautiful holster.

Some beautiful holsters here!!

I'll toss a couple into the ring.....

1. Custom Snubbyfan holster for my K-Frame snubbies

2. Ken Campbell custom $OB for my Kimber Ultra Carry
