never been made. Ok, we have had alot of threads about guns that you had, wished you had, hadn't sold etc. But what guns ar out there that you wish had never been made.
For me, top of the list is the awful Tec-9. That ugly heap not only looks bad, but it was one of the most villified handguns when the assault weapons legislation came out, and what I had been told by everyone that shot one, it jammed all the time.
Other guns I wish never had been made, the Taurus Judge, anything by Jennings or Lorcin.

Speaking of a Tec 9. I have a pre ban Mini Tec 9 DC in stainless. It runs like a champ, no FTF or FTE problems at all. I did have "The Judge" and glad I got rid of it. It didn't make a good boat anchor/paper weight/anvil let alone make a good revolver or shotgun.

Class III

I do not have a Judge, not have I ever wanted one but people sure think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. The buy the crap out of them. Now everyone wants the 3" chambered ones. Dealers can't keep them in stock.
One of the great advertising gimmicks of all time. The 45LC is a great round for SD but the 410???

The SKS.

It, and it's imported brethren are what killed the lever action as a low-cost entry level deer rifle.

It wasn't the fact that it was semi-automatic, it was the fact that they were half the cost of a new Winchester 94.
Not that there is anything wrong with an SKS, it just changed the American gun market quickly and many domestic firearms makers didn't know how to react quickly to such an onslaught of imports.

I guess while we're at it...tacticool stuff. I hate black plastic junk showing up everywhere- real guns use walnut or even just plain old birch for a stock material. If the powers that be would have wanted me to carry tupperware, my pop would have started me off with it. :p

Wadizzit?!?

I don't know what it's called or even the caliber, but it was made by a gunsmith for a customer based on an S&W frame. It seems to me that this is one the world could have done without.

S&W Model 41's because I broke my bank account buying two of these great guns.

The streetsweeper shotgun. They were so tacti-cool that a shootin' buddy had to have one when they first came out, what a disappointment. When it quit functioning on the first time out we tore it down and found a broken pivot pin. I swear that there are cap guns with better engineered actions. I made a new pin from a cobalt drill bit and it was sold a few days later.

Crappy guns really make nice ones so much more enjoyable...

The Universal M-1 Carbine. A cheap copy of the Military contract M-1s, almost every one has owned one and couldn't get rid of it quick enough.

The 'Clerke' .32 S&W revolver. They sold for $15 new, My Dad got one and I quickly found out the safest place to stand when it fired was directly in front of it. More lead sprayed out the back than came out the barrel.
I gave him a M36 nickel and told him I wanted to trade it for that Clerke, when he gave it to me I took it outside, layed it on a rock and hit it as hard as i could with a 4lb sledge hammer, the potmetal barstard broke into 3 peices.
My old man thought I was crazy for along time after that, but he never was a gun-man.

I do agree with you, but I think these darned things are really selling. The gunshops and gunshows are full of 'em, with folks looking at them. I suspect they're going like hotcakes, although I wonder why.
...and they look funky.
