Must be the one where "Kate" dies, hated to see that Beautiful Lady go.. Course the one where "Abby" punches the Bad Guy in the nose was neat too.....

I agree that Mike Franks episodes or the one mentioned with Charles Durning. Last nights bothered me that the FBI agent fired six rounds from inside his car through the windshield and it didn't seem to bother his hearing. They are usually pretty good on that sort of thing. He would have been deaf as a post at least for a time, if not forever.

How can you pick a "best" or favorite??? Don't think there is a bad one. The show just has a little bit and a lot of everything.

Are these rules written down anywhere? Hint Hint:D
Needless to say I have seen everyone more than once, I miss Jenny, and Franks, Leon can go anytime. Abby is my favorite she really is smart as well as a nut case.

When Kate was killed was a real shock and did not see that coming. I really liked her, but Ziva has replaced her well.

Tony, as Travolta. A Guys gotta do what ...........:D

I thought that was funny too, perp fires three or four rounds at a sitting target and hits zilch, but FBI guy fires back through the cracked up windshield and nails the moving target.

During my recovery from a motorcycle crash in '09 I got hooked on this show watching the reruns on USA network. My younger son gives me a hard time about it but I don't care lol. You guys have all mentioned great episodes, I especially enjoyed the one when they go back to Gibbs' home town, we meet his dad and get some insight into his past & meeting Shannon. I have gotten around to seeing all the episodes, "Yankee White" the first of the stand alone series (I believe the actual start was on the old "JAG" show-Catherine Bell yummy!) was fun to see how it all started. The "Mike Franks" character was great-hey the guy used a 1911!, sorry they wrote him out. I agree on the episode with Charles Durning, outstanding.

This is the one show I have my dvr set to record regularly. I liked last night's especially how flustered McGhee got with their ex, I'm not a huge fan of the Abby character-I can only handle her in small doses, annoying to me-I'm probably in the minority on that one. Gotta go with max on the whole shots-fired-from-inside-the-car thing, though still a good show.

I adopted a dog a year ago Sept., she's a Rottie/Lab mix, about 2 yrs. old now and I knew when I met her I had to name her Ziva! If ended up with a male, it would've been "Gibbs". Haha, I need to get a life some would say!

The agent says it ruined his best jacket and it looked like rounds had hit hls bp vest.

He did get hit. They showed Gibbs holding the FBI vest with 3 bullets in it. And Fornell said he hadnt taken it off because it was a busy day at the office.

Also the perp wasnt moving. He stood there for a sec and when he saw Fornell raise his gun he tried to shoot again

My favorite will be the series finally. My wife drives me crazy with that show!

Anything with:

A. Ziva as undercover bait in a slinky dress & spike heels

B. Abby in the goth schoolgirl outfit

What can I say? I'm a sick puppy... ;)

What episode was it that Abby was asking about Ducky in his younger years and Gibbs reply was that he looked a lot like Illyan Keryakis (not sure of spelling) that just hit my funny bone big time.

Call of Silence however is without question in my mind the best and most stirring episode.

Somehow my DVR only recorded 1 minute of last nights episode...

"Illya Kuryakin" Yes, I had to explain that one to my son why I was laughing.

Charles Durning's military record from Wikipedia, quite the man:
"Durning served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Drafted at age 21, he was first assigned as a rifleman with the 398th Infantry Regiment, and later served overseas with the 3rd Army Support troops and the 386th Anti-aircraft Artillery (AAA) Battalion. For his valor and the wounds he received during the war, Durning was awarded the Silver Star and three Purple Heart medals.[1]

Durning participated in the Normandy Invasion of France on D-Day, June 6, 1944, and was among the first troops to land at Omaha Beach. Some sources state that he was with the 1st Infantry Division at the time, but it is unclear if he served as a rifleman or as a member of one of the division's artillery battalions.[citation needed]

Durning was wounded by a German “S” Mine on June 15, 1944, at Les Mare des Mares, France. He was transported to the 24th Evacuation Hospital. By June 17 he was back in England at the 217th General Hospital. Although severely wounded by shrapnel in the left and right thighs, the right hand, the frontal region of the head, and the anterior left chest wall, Durning recovered quickly and was determined to be fit for duty on December 6, 1944. He arrived back at the front in time to take part in the Battle of the Bulge, the German counter-offensive through the Ardennes Forest of Belgium and Luxembourg in December 1944.[2][3]

After being wounded again, this time in the chest, Durning was repatriated to the United States. He remained in Army hospitals to receive treatment for wounds until being discharged with the rank of Private First Class on January 30, 1946.

He was nominated for an Emmy Award for his portrayal of a Marine veteran in "Call of Silence," an episode of the television series NCIS, first broadcast November 23, 2004. Drawing on his first-hand knowledge of the lingering effects of battle-induced stress, Durning's character turns himself in to authorities, insisting that he must be prosecuted for having murdered his buddy during ferocious combat on Iwo Jima six decades earlier.[4] The real truth of the incident only becomes known for certain when the guilt-stricken veteran goes through a cathartic reliving of the battlefield events.

Durning is well known for participating in various functions to honor American veterans. He was the chairman one year of the U.S. National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans.[5] He was an honored guest speaker at the National Memorial Day Concert for many years, televised by PBS every year on the Sunday evening of Memorial Day weekend.

In April 2008 Durning received the National Order of the Legion of Honor from the French consul in Los Angeles, awarded to those who served with distinction in France. During the ceremony, Durning spoke about his wartime experiences.[6]"

+1 on all the above. I also like the episode that opens with Tony charging through a warehouse, shooting two bad guys, and diving into the water to save Gibbs in his submerged car. Heckuva beginning to an episode.

^ Oooo i forgot about that one!

After Gibbs blows up in the ship and loses his memory. The part where Ziva interrogates the Turkish ship captain

I know this is gonna sound like an echo, but the one with Charles Durning. With that said, outside of that, I agree with this quote here...

"How can you pick a "best" or favorite??? Don't think there is a bad one. The show just has a little bit and a lot of everything."

I'm a fan!
