If his statements are to be believed, he has built up justification for his past and future activities. I don't see him turning himself in. I do see a lot of danger for any LEO that gets around him. It sounds like a mission, and he will do his best to carry it out. I can only hope for a car crash on his way to his next victims. This is going to get uglier.

Looking at the pictures of him in his Navy uniform, he was a full Lieutenant, and some of the copy says he was attached to Naval Special Warfare. None of the pictures show a Bud emblem so I'm guessing EOD, or Corpsman?

Someone reportedly found a badge and ID belonging to him in the San Diego airport, and supposedly he tried to steal a boat in San Diego about 0800 today.

In short, they don't know if he's in Southern California, Nevada, or Mexico.

All this assumes the reports are correct.

The first two murders occurred about 10-12 miles from my house in a part of Irvine that I know well. This story definitely caught my attention.

In the latest update, Dorner is suspected of further overnight shootings in Riverside County that have resulted in one more officer death and another officer in critical condition.

There is no possible good outcome to this. The least bad outcome is that Dorner's activities are stopped before other officers or their family members are killed or wounded. I sincerely hope that all other individuals named in his manifesto are now massively guarded and that their families have been relocated to unknown places. This is a guy with a list.

I completely agree that the manifesto is the work of a man who is smart and literate, but far from wise. There is fascinating evidence there for the psychologists who will do a psychiatric analysis of the document's author.

I worked in Irvine for several years. It is probably one of the cleanest nicest communities to live in in the entire country. He murdered the assistant women's basketball coach for Cal St. Fullerton where I played basketball virtually every Saturday and Sunday during the late 80s and early 90s. She was the daughter of one of the cops on the review board who fired him.

He killed another today. The pain and suffering this man has caused cannot be measured. He may have been wronged, peopel get wronged every day in life. But scripture says God will judge.....and sadly, this man did not believe in scripture. He states the Bible is a fairy tale in his manifesto. And that's why he is doing what he is doing......

L.A. Police Shoot Two Innocent People During Manhunt for Ex-Cop | TheBlaze.com

Oh and it turns out he was a heavy left leaning gun control proponent so the main stream media will ignore this...

Suspected Mass-Murderer's Manifesto Endorses Hillary, Obama, Gun Control, Elite Media

Yes. Shoot first ask questions later. It wasn't even the same color truck.

Police accidentally shot two newspaper deliverers driving a pickup truck early Thursday morning in a case of mistaken identity linked to the search for Christopher Dorner.

The shooting occurred around 5:15 a.m. in the 19000 block of Redbeam Avenue when a patrol unit assigned to a protective detail identified a truck similar to that of Dorner’s. The officers had been assigned to guard the home in response to the suspect’s written threats to department officials in a rambling 20-page manifesto.

Police said the blue truck was driving down the street without its light on when the shooting occurred.

Two people suffered gunshot wounds and are listed in minor and stable condition.

There was also a second civilian shooting.

This is going to probably end worse than it started. I pray all of my brothers and sisters stay safe out there.

Unfortunately I am sure there is some, I say some, truth to his manifesto. but that does not warrant killing people who have nothing to do with your career or end of it. If he was that concerned about the word getting out he should have just used the press. They would have been more than happy to run with it.

The shooter seems to blame an imaginary conspiracy or racists for all his problems. He murdered the daughter and her fiance of his former lawyer. He also wanted to shoot other officers for allegedly using a racially charged word in conversation (not even directed at him) and did physically attack that officer. Wonder why he left the Navy....O3 draws better pay than LAPD offers.

You do not murder your lawyer's family just because you lose your case. Under no remotely sane theory of vengeance or even most insane ones would that be appropriate.

Resentment is cancer of the soul...

He appears to have a fierce sense of right and wrong, which feeds his obvious righteous indignation (being wrongly accused.) The stress incurred in these events that he listed, as well as others, along with whatever baggage he carried to the job each day (we all have some) combined with the loss of personal integrity that he feels was wrongly ripped from him,(and which has a very high value to him) results in his feeling (actually and personally) disenfranchised, with nothing else, as far as he is concerned, to lose. In this scenario, an 80 year old, 75 pound woman with a letter opener is very dangerous, much less this trained and motivated individual. The time frame tells me that this (these) actions have been dwelt upon for so long that what happens now is the release of the accumulated stress. Join me in praying for this person, and those implicated here. An intervention from God, in some form, seems the only likely resolution in this situation, in my view.

A true tragedy. No good guys, only innocent victims, everybody loses, everybody's a victim. It seems that so many cases today are because people can't process their frustrations, disappointments, failures, and rejections. They just fester until they go beserk.

Saw that. Its a very steep rough area. California but the elevation there is high and gets bitter cold at night. I am guessing the choppers will spot him. It will be hard for him to survive the night if he hasnt got good cloths. His only chance would be to try to walk down to lower elevation at night. Thats hard and very dangerous at night. This will be interesting.

Or he may have already stolen a car. I think he's pretty smart. Smart like a fox. We'll see.

Remember Danny Ray Horning? He was on the run for 54 days...

I used to live at palmdale, north of big bear. They had to use helicopters in more rescues in that country than I can count. Its very steep. Besides cars going off the roads there many hikers also had to be rescued by copters. They would get in over their heads very quick and often.

I don't know. This guy has evidently been brooding for years. He was a Lieutenant in the Naval Reserve. He's smart. He's crazy.

I can't help but believe he's just following a plan. One that he has worked on for a long time.

I hope I'm wrong.
