Chris Dorner (sp) In shoot out NOW

When I heard the scanner traffic i heard talk of "automatic fire". I don't know if that is real or not.

I watched a prerecorded report from a reporter who was up pretty close, not front line but close. It didn't show much, mostly the van he was taking cover behind, but it sounded like there were bursts of full auto. Don't know if that was one way coming from the Police though. It sounded like a battle in full swing.

Firstly, I would offer my condolences to the families of those killed and to say I am in no way shape or form condone the killers actions.

But this whole thing bothers me. I finally did a search on Dorner's manifesto but came across six differing versions. I believe the long version was edited by another then the author. I will also say sorry, this will be a long post.

1. The first part of the manifesto tells of his case against the LAPD, the Harbor division and Southwest division, specifically. Dorner writes how corruption isn't in his 'DNA' throughout. Then he names specific 'high value' targets in those divisions. Then warns outside agencies to not get involved.

He writes very well coming from a private school upbringing (also stated in the manifesto).

Then suddenly the rambling starts. Reading it, the language is different. Don't they do a psychological profile on every potential recruit? It reads like what a bipolar person would write. Previous paragraphs are concise and direct. The gun control rant runs on and it seems like the author is rambling; a far cry from the previous parts.

The paragraph starts with, "If you had a well regulated AWB, this would not happen". Wasn't the manifest written before this incident started? And how would an AWB prevent his actions? Why would he want to regulate his own actions?

Other confusing items.

2. Time difference. If the time tables are correct and the case was over on 1/09 then its been four years! edit: in 2011 he appealed the decision. That's when Quan represented him.

3. "KMA-367 license plate frames are great target indicators and make target selection even easier." According to LAPD website, KMA-367 license plate frames went out in the late 80's; Dorner became an officer 2005. Fifteen years difference.

4. "I am an American by choice..." He should have been an American by birth [NYC].

5. "I will utilize OSINT... IMINT... Its amazing whats on NIPR." OSiNT is open source intelligence, IMINT is image intelligence and NIPR is non-classified internet IP router network. Anyone able to gather information from NIPR or IMNT would have to have satellite imagery (Google earth doesn't refresh often enough) and have network administration knowledge (whois I don't believe works with net masking or port forwarding); nothing in his background would warrant (sonar tech, poly science degree, psych major).

It sounds like someone took his manifesto and added bunch of stuff such as his supporting gun control because they knew it will be read by many (although Dorner was a frequent hunter).

I wonder how long it'll take to find the shootings of the two pickups, the wounding of the two women, and the injuries to the other driver "justified"...

Sorry, I came to this dance late. I don't watch news events,
until they're at least a couple weeks olds, because of so much
mis-information by our 'Media'.

How is he considered to be a hero, by anyone?

A certain segment of the unhinged far left views him as a "hero" because he challenged the police, and hence the government, even though that government (at least in California, and LA in particular) is nearly as far left as they are.

The rest is identity politics of a profoundly juvenile sort.

While I have no regard for the LAPD, I found nothing admirable about Dorner. He embodied everything he claimed to find reprehensible in the LAPD.

He was a coward and a hypocrite.

I seen a video of a van with "Go Dorner GO" painted across the back windows!

Back in the early '90s, there was a local radio talkshow that once had as a guest, a woman who lived in Middleburg Heights, Ohio who was penpals with a bunch of serial killers. She had an incandescent hatred for the parents of the Curley kid in MA, who was raped and murdered (not necessarily in that order) by a couple of NAMBLA members. They were suing NAMBLA for inciting the rape and murder with their literature. She claimed they were only in it for the money.

There are always people for whom evil has an irresistible attraction.

I have read of many if not almost all very high profile criminals that go to jail get offers from women that want to marry them, have their babys etc.
Years ago with mafia mobsters many chicks were attratcted to them. It was something about the aura of danger, power or whatever. Hell theres plenty women attracted to a cops uniform, isnt there?
The strangest thing I observed like that was a very close friend and fellow guard I had years ago. "Pete", not his real name, was born into a mafia mob family. He even had a picture of himself sitting on al capones lap when he first got out of alcatraz capone visited petes family in frisco. Later pete became a cop. He killed a mobster on the job. He had to hide out and was fiananced on some program to getting a job in a mine, left that and got a guard job with me. Eventualy petes wife died and he retired and got a job somewhere doing what he loved, dealing poker in a casino somewhere. After I retired I went and stayed with pete a few times. Belive it or not, petes hobbie was corresponding with some chick he got the adress out of internet site "jailhouse babes!"
