Barnes & Noble Policy = Sheer Madness

The lack of common sense in this country is appalling, it’s almost as if it is contagious. And what is worst it is becoming acceptable.

I'm sure you've heard it - they are calling it "The New Normal".

Those are the three second-most infuriating words ever spoken by a human being.

The first-most infuriating must be "Daddy, I'm pregnant."

I find it hard to believe that customer service people will not bend over backwards to help a paying customer in this economic climate.

They act so smug when they are rude to you. I had a guy at Best Buy tell me to find the item online.

I did, and I can't imagine how these companies think they will continue paying thousands of dollars a month for their lease when most of their business goes online.

And the smug little punks that tell me they can't help or I should look online? I tell them I will go online, and I will buy online, and I truly hope they can keep their job with fewer and fewer sales.

Who's looking to the future? Not the employees or middle management.

Amazon prime. For about $72 a year I get 2 day Fedex, streamed movies (many free) and other perks. I haven't darkened a brick and mortar bookstore in years now.

I also do all my Christmas shopping there nowadays.

That is definitely Barnes and Nobles policy. My wife reads a lot and still buys the real thing and you can order the book and have it sent to your door cheaper than buying in the store. That is what she does. Lots of the retailers do the same thing as far as pricing goes.
