Wallet, Money Clip, both or neither?
Recently switched from carrying a wallet (back pocket, left side) since the time I was in 7th grade to a new hybrid moneyclip/card holder from Ridgewallet. Got me around to thinking, who does what? My grandpa does both, my Dad actually uses a cigarette case, and well I used a bi-fold wallet.
Tell me what you're set up is!

I use traditional leather wallet, carried in left front pocket. Right front pocket has a nickel S&W model 49 pinned and recessed. Clip on knife also in left front pocket. Keys get relegated to the rear pocket, along with any spare change.

Wallet with the cards and ID in left rear, money clip in right rear, cell phone left front, Model 38 in DeSantis Nemesis right front.
Starting keeping my cash separate from my wallet years ago, so if I lost the wallet or was pick-pocketed I'd still have the cash. Money clip used to be right front until it was displaced.

Wallet in right rear pocket. Don't usually carry much cash with me and
I keep my wallet thin by avoiding cramming stuff into it. On the rare
occasions I need to carry much cash it goes into a front pocket.

Bi-fold in right rear pocket. I only have two credit cards and two ATM cards. The other plastic is either ID, insurance, or club cards. Driver's license and CPL are in a separate (and removable) holder that fits in the wallet. Usually only $20's and up in the billfold. Smaller 'folding money' in the left front pocket.
I need to remove my wallet from my rear pocket if I'm driving my Saturn Sky. It's like sitting on a rock if I don't. Other cars (and Harley) are fine. I have a 'chain drive' wallet, that I keep in the Harley saddlebag, which has my registration/proof of insurance. I don't use that when I commute on the bike, only if I'm on a road trip will I transfer 'stuff' into it.

I have an old beaten up bi-fold wallet. Right back pocket. I mainly use it for cards. I do carry money sometimes, but I try to avoid it and just use my debit card when I can. I keep my front 2 pockets for my phone and keys. I was recently given a front pocket wallet from my grandma. It is an interesting looking thing. I don't think I will use it. Imagine a wallet that is shaped as your front pocket. It is long on the bottom and short on the top when opened, with diagonal sides.

Tri-fold wallet, but want to add not to carry your knife in a pocket with anything else but a handkerchief. I learned long ago that keys, coins, etc. will really scratch up a knife!

I carry a small ID case that holds drivers license, retired military ID card, 2 credit cards, CCW permit and 2 20 dollar bills folded. It resides in my breast pocket of my pocket-Tee's.
Money rides in a magnetic money clip in my left front trouser pocket.
Got tired of carrying a "wallet" full of stuff I didn't need about 25 years ago!!

I have a bi-fold with a separate removable folding "ID Carrier". Everything goes in there. Left rear pocket, unless I'm driving, in which case it goes in the console - - I don't like sitting on it.
Not ashamed to admit it; I miss the utility of the "fanny packs" that were popular in the late 80's/early 90's, worn forward to one side. So much more comfortable than pockets, held tons more stuff (including the big cell phones of the early 90's) and I didn't have to go through the daily pocket-loading / pocket-emptying drill. Snap, done.
Fashion killed them. But they were excellent design.

WAY TOO MUCH TO CARRY AS IS
Between a gun, speed loader/mag, knife, keys, specs, hybrid money clip, coins, phone. I need a flippin batman utility belt, fireman style suspenders or man purse, and one hand to hold up the shorts. Your Dad is on the right track with cons able to scan cards in your pocket or wallet & steal identity, you need to wrap your wallet/cards with tin foil to match your hat.

I seem to switch back and forth. I like to use a money clip for cash and wallet for credit cards licenses etc. But when I'm using a money clip, I'll go off and forget it most of the time because I'm not used to carrying it so I just eventually go back to the wallet for everything. Right now I'm not using the money clip.

I got one of those aluminum wallets designed to prevent that. I fumbled it in the driveway of a gas station and I had money and cards etc blowin' every which a way. It never did really fit my bidness and when the little divider thingy inside came apart I let it go.
When it comes to wallets my opinions run along the same lines as for holsters. LEATHER for me please! That works for me. I'll just have to hope my luck holds out on gettin' scanned. I don't really go that many places anymore where that is likely to happen.

Jim, thanks for the heads up. If I ever get a really good quality knife I will remember that, but until that time my pocket knives are right at home with a few work dings and such.

Money goes in a clip. There is no cool way to get money out of a wallet. Watch the kitchen scene in Goodfellas where Henry gives Karen some cash if you need further understanding.

That's coming brother, believe it. Though it will probably be a chip under your skin or some sort of DNA tag.
But back to the subject. I carry my cash in an Embassy of Kuwait money clip. I found the perfect wallet after searching for years, in Japan. My wife keeps wanting to replace it but until she finds one like this I'll keep it.

Cash in wallet (less than $100) and more in checkbook and pockets using small binder clip and paper clip.
One dollar bills (usually 10-15) in front shirt pocket, easy to reach without pulling out wallet or clipped money.
No actual "money clip," the other clips are smaller, lighter.

Cash is almost always in my left pocket in a silver money clip. The only time I don't carry cash that way is if I happen to have a wad that will cause the silver to spread apart too far and stay that way - I've bent it too many times. I play poker - wads of cash are no big deal. Usually it's 20s.
My leather wallet has my credit cards and some other odds and ends that I think I need with me all the time and some photographs.
However, and this is not in the poll, I also carry a leather business card case, one side of which has business cards and 2 debit cards, the other side of which contains ALL of my ID cards. They are never in my wallet. DL, CHL, Military ID, police volunteer ID, Medicare card [older guys get to have one of those donchano!], etc. These never, ever, go in my wallet. It's just my thing.
One item NEVER seen in either my wallet or business card case is my Social Security card. I know where it is but it, too, is old and says "Not For Identification Purposes" and I take that seriously so nobody has EVER seen it, including employers, I don't care what the IRS and the immigration people say.

I carry the credit card insert only out of my wallet for driver license, ccw and a credit card. For what little cash I have, I use a paper clip

I carry a biker/trucker style wallet in my right rear pocket, money, knife and misc in right front pocket, keys go in left front pocket and left rear pocket is always empty. S&W SD9VE in holster on belt on right hip!! Wallet only caries DL, debt card, CCW permit and a few misc cards, what little money I carry is in my pocket.
