To all you Wrangler Wearers

I must have hit the lottery. My wife came home a couple of weeks ago from her gym and she had two pair of brand new Wrangler jeans in my size. Another poor woman bought them for her husband and they shrunk so he couldn't wear them and had them there for free.

It's weird because my Dad's jeans have slowly been shrinking too. My Dad blames it on the dryer and my Mom. My mom rolls her eyes and thinks the jeans aren't shrinking, but rather my Dad is just growing.....and I'm not talking vertically.

Levi's = junk. Surprising how they cheapened up the fabric and skimped on the cut, yeah, low rise=less of the cheap fabric for an even less cost to make product.
I moved on the Lee and they might be worth a look, almost no shrinkage on their pre washed jeans, lots of colors too it you are that kind of guy.

LEE, only ones I have worn in probably the last 25 years.
Grey, Tan, Brown and standard light and dark blue.

I like the fit of Levis Signature jeans (about $21 at Walmart and K-Mart) and I like the fit of Levi 550s (about twice the price of the Signatures) and they are heavier and last almost forever.

I buy the Relaxed Fit in both.

I also like the fit of Ralph Lauren Polo Jeans Company's Relaxed Fit jeans, too. And they last a long time. I just donated a pair I had worn for just under 20 years to a charity since they had holes in the back which would have cost me more to fix than to buy a new pair.

I wore Wrangler's Relaxed Fit for many years, but the change they made to the U-crotch seemed to change the fit and I didn't like them.

Levi's Signature Jeans lasted longer, for me, than the Wranglers and were within a couple of dollars of the cost.

I did purchase a pair of Levi Signatures a couple of weeks ago and was disappointed to see that they no longer have the seven belt loops, but have dropped down to five.

I wear jeans all "winter" here in Florida and shorts in the summer and I am particular about the fit.

I, too, was surprised to see FM's suspended status. He always has great stories and has had a lot of interesting things happen in his life. I hope he gets whatever the problem may be squared away and returns soon.

Wore Levi's most of my life till they went over $50 a pair

I can get better fitting (for Old Fart's bod's) Wrangler's for less than half that price. :D

I ain't never gonna be a cowboy, so Carhartts work great for me.
When I dress up, it's a whole bunch of 5.11 cargos left over from when I had a real job.

Being a big guy, read wide, I wear Wranglers in a relaxed fit simply because they are the most comfortable for me. I really like their carpenter jeans with the extra pocket and a little more fabric in the right spots. A pair will last me a good year or so! I have never been fond of Levis and I find the other cheaper brands don't fit right.

P.S. Thankfully the little lady got me going on a different diet so my Wranglers are not shrinking but actually getting to big!! Who knew that eating healthier stuff could taste so good!

Aren't Levi jeans now made to some third world communist country?? I get my jeans from Sams Club. I think they are called Members Mark. If they are made with slave labor, at least they don't charge an arm and a leg for them and they wear well.

WHY are you still wearing jeans made by ANTI-GUN Levi Strauss co.??
Back in the days of yesteryear when I still lived in Texas and was active in rodeo at the first I wore the I think they were called the 401 Levis. They would shrink so bad I would put them on new out of the box and weather permitting go and plop my butt down in the horse watering troth or a bathtub, get them soaking wet and ride them dry for a good fit. However for reasons I'm not allowed to express on this site (RE Boy Souts of America funding) I threw everything I had with the name Levi Strauss on it and went to Wranglers. Never regretted the change. As for shrinkage on the cowboy cut Wranglers I had there was really minimal shrinkage if any. At 75 I still grab me up some comfort cut Wranglers at Tractor supply today. A really great fit for some of you old guys like me that have splayed out a tad here and there.

You to?

All I wear is Wrangler jeans. But, for some reason, they shrunk over 6" in the last 30 years.:(
Thank goodness I thought it was just me. Maybe I'm not turning in to a lard butt after all. There's
still hope!!!!!

This forum ain't exactly filled up with slim jean wearing folk.

Well.. sports fans, in the coming years your nice cotton jeans may be replaced?

Hemp jeans? Perfect for hot, muggy weather, they wick and breathe, so you'll never feel sticky and clammy as you would in a cotton jean. And get this: they're thermal-like in Winter!
.. and over 5 times stronger than cotton!

The federal government is ready to let farmers grow cannabis — at least the kind that can't get people high.
Hemp — marijuana’s nonintoxicating cousin that's used to make everything from clothing to cooking oil — could soon be cultivated in 10 states under a federal farm bill passed by the U.S. Senate on Tuesday and sent to President Barack Obama for his expected signature.

Maybe soon, we won't need to import 1/2 billion dollars worth from countries like China!

I'm moving to Wranglers. I was happy with Levi's 517 boot cut jeans for years; in spite of their anti-gun stance which I only became aware of in recent times. My decision was based upon my perception that they have reduced the length of the fly. I'm sure that I haven't recently needed to store more "junk" but it seems that I must dig more to find whatever junk I've stored there. Is it me or did the Levi fly lose some teeth with old age?
