I certainly could be wrong, but I think he used an 1873 Winchester Carbine. It wasn't a Yellowboy.

Westerns with notable bad guys........Ramon was one of the best who played him some Italian?.....Others... Jack Palance, Lee Marvin, Lee Van Cleef, Eli Walach, My favorite in any kind of movie...Henry Silva...he just looked nasty mean with a smile. This doesn't include supporting bad guys..There are actors that played one role bad guys like Gene Hackman but they were just good actors playing bad guys.

I go with the 92. No side plate, so not a '73 or 76. Barrel thicker, so not likely a 94. So, I think a 92 in a larger pistol caliber

If you Google "aim for the heart ramon" you'll find a YouTube clip with that scene.
The gun used in the clip is a Winchester 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine. Looking at the hole in the end of the barrel, it's definitely a .44 caliber (.44-40 WCF). The largest caliber offered in a model 1894 is .38 (.38-55 WCF).
