Where's Jeremy Wade? ("River Monsters")
Haven't seen Jeremy Wade chasing, "River Monsters" lately on Discovery/Animal Planet.
Was that show cancelled? It was probably the best thing they've done with their reality series.

That was a good show, but the over the top drama about "monsters" got a little tiresome. Still liked the show.

It's not listed on Discovery.com anymore in their show list but that stupid fake show Amish Mafia is back. Takes all kinds of kinds I guess.

looks like their season only airs in August and May. According to wikipedia it hasn't been canceled. I'm sure you'll see new episodes this May.

Wade is scheduled to do one final "River Monsters" show where he's pitted against Honey Boo Boo's Mama June. He'll do battle with her in a backwoods swamp armed with a harpoon and ballpein hammer.

If the contest comes down to passing gas Wade is a odds on loser. June is a world class gas passer possibly with no known peer!

I watched the show but frankly I was getting tired or Wade. His accent started grating on my nerves and there toward the end he started doing some very dangerous (read stupid) things.
They have a new guy lately and I like him a lot better but I think I sense a pattern in his shows. It seems like he never gets what he is after until the last hour of the last day he has before having to return to the world. Still, I enjoy seeing all the exotic fish.

I've been a fisherman for seventy years, and that sentence sums it all up quite well. 
I like "River Monsters", and Wade. His imitators haven't impressed me.

Besides fish that I've never hear of.....
I've never heard of most of the fish he's captured and wherever he goes in the world there is some great cultural learning.
He really gets in with the everyday locals.
