As I sauntered past the wheel of rifles, a Remington 700 ADL Synthetic in .308 whispered at me, "help, I'm being held against my will ......". I paid the $377 ransom and brought it home.

I feel like a darned decent person for performing such a heroic rescue!

I bought a Remington 700 BDL 30-06 from Walmart for $377 not long ago. It has beautiful wood and they had the price miss-marked, 700 BDLs usually sell for around $800-850.

Yes, whenever I go to Wal-Mart I find the miss marked Ruger 10/22 synthetic for $799.

Don't ya' just love it when you get some "alone" time
in Sporting Goods while the missus gets the groceries.

Nice pick up. I need a good .30 caliber Bolt gun.

Nice pickup. Ain't it great when you have a moment like that? My last rifle was at a gun show and is a 700 BDL NIB for 500 and the guy gave me two boxes of 300 Win Mag ammo and a set of Leupold bases and rings. Gonna put a Leupold on it and sight it in on Wednesday..I thunk I did good but you did better. Even ol Wally has a deal every now and then. Congrats! Was at the show with a friend and a couple days later he gave me a new plastic stock for it so I don't bang up the wooden one.

WHO ZOOMED WHO?

Watch out for tool marks, rough barrels etc. My faith in getting anything of great quality at "THE" WM is pretty low. My last swap meet I could have bought a 1972 wood/blue rem 700 adl 30-06 (I believe) for 150$ but being Mothers day and there to sell, not buy, I passed on that & one of the finest NIB S&W wood boxed with knife combo with matching #'s papers the works. Whoever thought of having a swap meet on Mothers day must have been a divorce lawyer. Funny the only 2 things I always hear referred to as "THE" are WM and THE DONALD. I'm sure WM did not lose any $, + you paid tax to boot. I hope you got a good one.

It should be called DUH WALMART, for all the expertise/knowledge/experience of what they are selling, where it may be, or how much it costs. Try to let your fingers do the walking & get an associate from any dept to pick up a phone. Be prepared for a long wait time. I guess they get what they pay for. Some of them would owe WM money. It's great for people watching, & funniest WM pics.

This just keeps gettin better. I was looking for the online manual and stumbled across the fact that there's a rebate going on for $35. Next week it's $50. Also the Hog Hammer ammo they had on sale has a $5/box rebate.
