I think your thinking of his brother Mark. I haven't seen Donnie in any movie reallyI like the show and have followed it on Netflix. Butt I'm sick of Don Wahlburg. He's on Blue Bloods, in every episode as lead character, and been in every other movie for the last ten years. Enough already.
I've watched all five seasons on NetFlix and watch for the guns in use by various actors. I was hooked by an early episode where a bad guy attacks Selleck's daughter, the assistant DA. Selleck show up, says "Get your hands off my daughter!" The guy turns toward Selleck, who shoots him in the head. No debate, no negotiation, just a good shot at the right time. I wonder if some of the reality of the show (not always, it is TV) is based on the fact that Selleck is gun guy in real life.

Of course it's Hollywood fantasy. Would you watch that show if it was actual real law enforcement? Where nothing really exciting happens for weeks!
Back in 99-00 when I worked with some 8th dist officers. I was with this one cop and there was a call for burglary in progress. I look at her like ...."and"......and all she says is "I don't respond to anything in progress". My jaw dropped. I'm thinking to myself that she's basically a rolling secretary!I've never watched the show, but if they wanted it to be anything like Philly PD then they would probably need more footage of cops sleeping on the hallway benches in our court house. There's also the paperwork....lots and lots of paperwork.

Well, I'm gonna take a slightly different stance than many. I think that it is great TV, Selleck is wonderful as the head of the family and I really love the concept of a family dinner every week. I love Bridgette Moynahan and think that Tom Brady made a big mistake not marrying her. Donnie's character is a little rough but that is the character not the actor.
Overall, it's a neat story about the intertwined lives of a good Irish catholic family whose basic family business is law enforcement. They range from Grandpa who was not afraid to use a nightstick in his day when a perp needed a "tune up" to grandson Jamie the law student that is more PC.
They also try to bring into the show events that are happening currently in life and show how they deal with these issues as a family.
I watch every Friday night or if out set the DVR.![]()
I read that Brady has a child with Brigitte Moynahan, but never married her.
There are five main characters in Blue Bloods, and Wahlberg, not Selleck, is the main character. It's basically his show. So why wouldn't he be in every episode?![]()
Matter of fact, of the five listed main characters, Selleck is listed fifth in order of importance.
And Donnie Wahlberg hasn't been in a movie since 2011. /QUOTE]
I think it is not unusual for the main character to be listed last in the credits.

Not the main character, but the biggest star/name on show. That's the way they usually run credits (out of respect).
