I've been wanting to try this for quite sometime but, not at the price per pound that HEBs sells it at. They have it listed here, for about $11 bucks a pound. Anyway, Walmart of all places, has it at $6.99 to about $7.49 per pound. I've seen that this stuff is the real deal and not that 'regurgitated' stuff.

Anyway, just bought some of this stuff and is excellent!! Anyone else here eat this stuff as sandwiches?

I get the roast beef.

$9.99 If you buy a pound of their meat you get a half pound of their cheeze. I get the Havarti.

I'll make a couple of sandwiches and freeze the rest for later. That usually ends up with gravy over rice or mashed potatoes.

Prima Della cold cuts and cheeses are the real deal. I get the ham off the bone and smoked provolone cheese. The price per pound here can't be beat anywhere.
If you are concerned about your sodium and preservative intake ask to see the nutritional info. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Gotta see a pic, never heard of it.

The correct spelling is: Prima Della. I can't post pics on this machine or I would.:) If you have an HEBs or a Walmart near? those are two places I see it sold at. Walmart is a few bucks cheaper per pound and just as fresh. However, if you want fruits and veggies? DON'T get them at Walmart. They are storage items and nowhere near as fresh.

I haven't seen BBQ spam here yet but, Bologna I can't 'do' ever since I saw how its made when my school was on a trip to a meat-packing plant back many decades ago.
Slice the spam about 3/8" thick. I like to put the slices (Spam or Bologna) in a baggie with plenty of good BBQ sauce and let it sit for awhile. Grease a pan a little, put in the (meat??) and sauce and bake it at about 250 for a little while. The (meat??) doesn't really need to cook much and just needs to get hot. If in a hurry, just throw it in an iron skillet, pour in plenty of sauce and heat it up good, on stove or fire.

The HEB house-brand Spam is as good as the Spam brand, at least in my opinion, and somewhat less expensive. My preference in Spam sandwiches is just to warm up the Spam slices a little in the microwave, not to the point of hot, then add a slice of American cheese, mayonnaise and mustard on whole wheat bread. The local Wal-Mart frequently has their sliced deli sandwich meats (i.e., in the deli section) marked down to half-price in the evenings, also sliced deli cheeses. I always stock up if I see them.

HEB has a lot of store brand stuff, & a lot of it is excellent. If you like pimento cheese spread, try their brand. It's very good. I also buy a lot of their chips; they are quite a bit cheaper than Lays & have more varieties of the low sodium stuff.

My Italian is a little rusty, but doesn't prima della mean "before"? Before what? Or not literally translated, maybe "first class". That would make more sense. Hmmmm....

It's good stuff. I like to get the corned beef and make Ruebens.

Mmm, my wife makes killer Rubens! Home made Russian dressing and the marbled Rye is made fresh and cut thick from a local deli/ bakery. Try one with Pastrami. It's excellent!!
