Eddie Vedder sings- Warren Zevon- Keep Me In Your Heart
I saw this and thought it was really, really good.
Was never a fan of Dave Letterman, but he always had good musical talent on the show,
Can not really compare the new video (Eddie) with the video of Warren, but it is what it is.

I've enjoyed Warren Zevon's music for some time. Vedder did a nice job on that.
Warren did some great stuff, as long as you could get around his bizarre lyrics. Unfortunately, I can't post some of my favorites because of the language. I'm sure it affected his radio time as well. We lost him far too young to cancer.
This is probably his best known song and an excellent live version.

The Excitable Boy album is stacked with great artists.
The title track is...ummm... a bit "different."
Warren was a sick puppy!

Warren Zevon was teriffic. "Keep Me In Your Heart" is gut wrenching given the circumstances at the time of it's writing. Here's a favorite of mine thats topical. Involves guns and to keep things current, Russians.

I heard as a trivia question at a Cattleman’s Association dinner what singer used the disease Brucellosis in a song. Warren Zevon!
Play It All Night Long
“The cattle all have brucellosis
We'll get through somehow”

One has to have a very dry sense of humor and considerable wit to appreciate Warren Zevon, much in the Monty Python vein.
He is/was my favorite artist in all of the music world. I expect that he's kicking it hard in the next life, too.

Send lawyers guns and money...
He blew off Rolands head. Roland the headless Thompson gunner...talking about the man..
Dug up her grave and built a cage with her bones...Excitable boy they all said..
Don't knock on my door if you don't know my rottweilers name..
Hell is only half full
Room for you and me
Looking for a new fool
Who's it gonna be?
It's the Dance of Shiva
It's the Debutantes ball
And everyone will be there
Who's anyone at all
Monkey wash donkey rinse
Going to a party in the center of the earth
Monkey wash donkey rinse
Honey, don't you want to go?
Left eye, right eye
Take a look around
Everybody's heading
For a hole in the ground
And it's the Dance of Shiva
It's the Twilight of the Gods
Thunder and lightning
'Til the break of dawn
Enjoy every sandwich. RIP Warren Zevon.

Here is a good cover of Jacob Dylan and Warren Zevons son Jordan doing Lawyers, Guns and Money. One of my personal favorites
