I talked of building my hunt camp and recently, outhouse.
Here is a pic of the almost finished but open for business, most important building at camp.

Yes, the quarter moon will be added.
If you add the quarter moon make sure you add some metal screen behind it. I had the fill in the blank out of me one night on my grandfathers hunting cabin when I was kid. Squirrels decided to build a nest in it. My brother still laughs till he cries telling the story. It only happened 45 yrs ago I guess somethings never die.

Here is the seat, with lid, I salvaged out of an old outhouse on a piece of property I bought years ago. Looks like "Splinter City" to me. It used to sit on a concrete culvert pipe on a slab over the hole. The old guy I bought it from lived in a house with a real toilet but he liked this one, in his back yard, better. Unless it was raining.

My brother used to live in a historic home that had a brick outhouse. Of course, it was non-functioning since the house now had indoor plumbing. One day, a county historical society representative knocked on their door wanting to take pictures of the ol' brick outhouse as it was the only one in the county. I was curious as to who kept outhouse records so accurately that they knew the number and building materials of every outhouse in the county. Gives a whole new meaning to "county seat."
