Does anyone remember Jade east, english leather and brut cologne

Tried them all at least once, some worked and some didn't! Use Old Spice most days now so I don't smell like some of the old men who come into my shop smelling like an old dog coming in from the rain. Every once in a while I forget how old I am.

I remember a girl I dated in high school that was fond of the Jovan Musk I'd buy with my employee discount at the drugstore I worked at. Stetson is the only stuff I have on hand right now, I got two free samples when I bought some Carhartt shorts and shirts last year.
That is my wife's favorite and I still wear it every day.
Over the years I have probably been complimented by at least 50 different women about how good it smells on me. Must really work with my chemistry.

Never heard of Jade East. But Brut and English Leather, sure. Couldn't think of the name, so I had to look it up - but my dad used to wear wild Country aftershave, IIRC....

By the early 80'd, English Leather and Brut we're still around though probably over your pop's sink. Canoe too. Jade East, never heard of it. The rage of my day was Polo and of course....
DRAKKAR NOIR!!

On Westpac cruises in the Tonkin Gulf in the '60s and '70s English Leather was the stinkum of choice. At liberty time in port the whole ship would stink of it.
I remember English Leather soap on a rope, which may have been used in the Submarine Service for safety reasons. However, long before I got to WestPac, I develped an allergy to EL, and used only Right Guard, and probably Ivory soap. To this day, I use only Right Guard.

I still use blue Aqua Velva. My Dad was an Old Spice guy. There was always that white porcelain bottle with the little stopper in the medicine chest when I was a kid.

My dad was an old spice man but on occasion mom would have my brother and me to give him something like Brut or English Leather then after a birthday get together he gave a bottle of English Leather to my Uncle HS older brother and did it very obviously in front of Mom . My uncle are you sure it's a brand new never opened bottle he oh yea you better take that home with you I used a little of the boys gave me last Christmas and I'm tellin you she ( he pointed at mom ) couldn't keep her hands off me and it's hard to when you have to work for a livid to have ya woman keep you up all night lime that . Well everyone got a big laugh ( except mom sh was ki da shy about such things ) but from then on it was old spice . Me well I just wear what ever the younguns give me

In the 60's remember......

In the '60s, English Leather and Jade East were incredibly popular among high school guys. I think most would find such aromas nauseating today.

In the '60s Anything that said 'English' on it was good

British Sterling, Twiggy, James Bond..... the list is long.

I can still remember a double date back in the early 60s. I was using English Leather don't know what my buddy or the two girls were using but they defiantly didn't blend very well. Drove around for days in the dead of winter with the windows down trying to get rid of the smell.

Don't forget Hi Karate and Aqua Velva.

Bryl Cream, "a little dab'll do ya"

I sent a set of "Nuts & Bolts" cologne to my cousin who was in Nam' in 69.
Until he died 5 years ago, he regularly asked "Can you find me some more of that Nuts & Bolts?".
