NHL STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS 2018

Okay!

Made the right decision by watching Minnesota-Winnipeg. They played a tight game with lots of hitting and great goal tending by both goalies.

Congrats to the Jets on winning their FIRST playoff game IN FRANCHISE HISTORY!

Now to get my first look at the Vegas Golden Knights (who came up with that name???). Don’t see many western teams in my market (and time zone! :D). Lots of buzz about the team that won the division in their first year.

Gotta love the Stanley Cup playoffs!

Philly, what do you do when your #1 in goal plays like #2?
Same old story for Philly. They have been having goaltender issues for years. They really need to make the investment if they plan to do well in the future. I was very disappointed.

Vegas on the other hand has a goalie that could take them all the way. Fleury sure looks sharp.

I was trying to post on my tablet during the games but kept getting strings of pop-ups. It was only happening of the S&W forum. Anybody else have similar issues? It was really frustrating because i wanted to be involved in the thread and watch the game too.

Pens seemed highly motivated. Had to time-slip all 3 games, but the Flyers just couldn't get anything going, so I watched more of the other 2. The Wild - Jets series should be a good one. The Wild's frenetic pace may wear down Winnipeg some, but I think the Jets take it eventually. Seven games?
Vegas - LA was good. LA is not going to forecheck their way outta this one.
My bracket challenge is holding 100% after day 1, but that will probably go all to heck shortly.

A game puck chunking apart was weird. How does it not last a few minutes yet looks A-OK?
Back in the day when I could make oxygen, we used to practice/play with a bag of pucks that looked like they got dragged down a gravel road. Too cheap to replace them instead of buying beer... they were chunked, hacked, beat, some oxidized & a few even sticky at room temp. :p Never had one come apart like that.
Looking forward to Game 1 of the B's - Leafs series tonight. GO BRUINS!

I have a feeling the Bolts vs Devils series is going to be one sided. I hope not for the sake of the game but I don't thing NJ has what it takes to do very much. I think they will go the way of Philly.

As far as the Leafs vs Bruins I think it's going to be a long, hard fought series. The ice machines are going to work OT.
