Juice him with an electric cattle fence. My friend has one just around his place in the everglades. There's bears everywhere and he feeds them but they wont mess with the electric fence.

Added, I haven't heard from him in 6 or 7 years. I made a post back then of him feeding them. Most here agreed he was crazy.

How about some photos of Little Cubby?

Think maybe the bears finally got him?

My crazy lab dog keeps him from coming in.

They just turned down opening up bear hunting season here.

Papa bear is around 400lbs. He stayed till mama called him.

Cubby was on my front porch looking in the window. My lab was nose to nose. Till cubby moved on. I think he's a vegetarian so far.

Where is "here"? If bear season opens up, you thinking on shootin' Little Cubby?

Little cubby was in my breezeway today he opened the garbage pail of cracked corn for the deer when the snow is deep.

You're doing one of the things every state and federal wildlife agency says not to do. It doesn't matter whether you're doing it on purpose or not. You're making food easily available to a wild bear in an area where wild bears have no business being...your home and property. You're helping the bear to lose its fear of humans, and associate humans with easily obtainable food. Keep it up and you'll turn the bear into what's known as a "nuisance bear" that'll either have to be removed to another area or killed to prevent further predation or to stop the bear from being a danger to humans.

People think it's funny watching little home videos of bears in kitchens or bears inside cars, destroying everything they can get their paws on. It's "cute" to see black bears sleeping in hammocks or swimming in someone's pool or sitting in patio furniture. It's funny until it happens to them.

He's cute and not threatening.

Little Cubby won't be "cute" forever. That bear is going to grow up into a 200-300 pound wild animal. Then what do you think's gonna happen? I'll say it again...you're creating a potentially dangerous situation...for humans and for the bear. You need to stop that bear from coming around.
