OLD HOLLYWOOD/CELEBRITY PHOTOS

Rudi's post item #114

I was wondering about that group, so I did a little research.
Pat Boone is 88, Paul Anka is 82, Frankie Avalon is 83 and
Edd Burns at just 53 is still a kid. Bob Denver passed away
in 2005 at age 70. My interest is because I'm 88 now and the
people I knew have been passing away way too often.

Edward Byrne Breitenberger, known professionally as Edd Byrnes, was an American actor, best known for his starring role in the television series 77 Sunset Strip. He also was featured in the 1978 film Grease as television teen-dance show host Vince Fontaine, and was a charting recording artist with "Kookie, Kookie". Wikipedia

That 53 year old Ed Burns is another actor

Jimi got the choice, jail/Army. Ended up in the 101st. Didn't like his time in the service. But boy could he play! Sad, only 27 when he passed.

Myrna Loy, known widely as the Queen of Hollywood for a good many years (when Clark Gable was known as "The King of Hollywood").

She started in silents and was usually cast as an "exotic" or a vamp. She's actually a small town kid from Montana.

She starred in more movies than one can count. She's Nora Charles in the Thin Man movies and her role in "The Best Years of Our Lives" is simply fabulous.

Not so much a raving "beauty" but I think she defines what the word "cute" means. She's always cute!

Smoking! And The Best Years of Our Lives is the greatest movie of all time, in my opinion.

What a great old TV show. And what little boy was not head over heals in love with Mrs. Peel?

In 1969, during a business trip to California, I met up with my uncle John, who took me to his club for lunch, and I had the pleasure of meeting the only movie star I ever met.
He was taller than I expected, and most gracious to nobody me, a really nice guy, I thought.
