Location
Pittsburgh, PA
Approximately .875 mile from me as the crow flies, another "disturbed" person, apparently loaded for SHTF, shooting hundreds of rounds by someone who won't leave the house he's "squatted" in. So far, no one has been shot, reported. I'm not sure what he's shooting, but it's loud, as well as the return fire from law enforcement, from my location. I guess he's anti-gov't, etc., but he's in the house because he thinks since his relatives died he should get the house. (This info from the news reporters on KDKA television.) Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, FBI, and PA State Police and ATF are all there. I guess it started before 11:00 AM; it's 2:20 presently Eastern time. He actually shot down a couple drones. I just hope no LEOs get injured.
Anyone from here may know the area; it's a couple blocks from Children's Hospital in the Garfield neighborhood of PGH. Pray for the LEOs involved, plus all the neighbors.
I'm pretty sure this will be on Nat'l news later. It's almost 2:30 presently. Oh, he must have a gas mask because they're using gas.
To be continued...

Sounds like 1 deputy wounded. Wait him out. Then send in the robot.

I'm watching the news about this too...sounds like they're preparing to breach the house.

Please stay safe!

The preferred method is to wait him out but since he's throwing rounds out they have lost that option and have to neutralize him.
God Bless the boys in blue, tough job.

They’ve been shooting gas and what sounds like those flash bombs or grenades, whatever they’re called. They’re pretty loud from here. I think one of the initial sheriff’s officers was getting into a safe spot and he hit his head and got a pretty good cut. I haven’t heard anyone getting shot, but I hope not.
We had a nut job pretty close by that killed 3 LEOs 15 or so years back but they got him much quicker, could’ve been faster but the snipers weren’t allowed to take him out. I’m not sure what the motive is now regarding taking him alive, but all the resources over there you’d think they could’ve taken him out by now. We’ll see pretty soon.

Evictions can be bad news. I know two deputies and a state constable who were shot doing evictions, fortunately they all survived. Your average deadbeat isn’t too bad, it’s the goofs with the fruit loop legal theories they get off the internet that are a problem.

This morning's local online newspaper isn't saying yet how he died (it's one of two ways) or what rifle(s) he was using, but I found it interesting the police needed more ammo brought in but he was still shooting all day long. It sure was loud, even way over here. Only less than a direct mile, but it's sort of a valley up to where my street is.
I'm just glad no LEO injuries besides the initial head injury to one deputy.
This is reportedly his second eviction, from a different place last year, so I suppose he wasn't gonna go quietly this time.

Now the homeowners get to spend piles of money repairing all the windows and bullet holes and getting the gas stink out of the house. Insurance won't pay for acts of terror. A single sniper bullet would have saved everyone much time and money.

Agreed, if they had a shot. With a dude like that, he probably was not giving them one.

Noted in the one article that KDKA is a CNN affiliate. Not surprising. Way deep in the last century there was a nut with a .25 auto on the superstructure of one of the three downtown bridges (7th, 8th, 9th?-been decades). The star newscaster (Bill Burns) was on scene, behind cover and shouting hysterically every time the guy fired. The police were seen standing up in plain sight and laughing at him-and it showed in the live video. Someone climbed up the bridge and talked him down.
