The End Is Near

So if it hits dirt then the after affect is dust and debris lingering for a while, if it hits water then tsunami. Odds change if you change altitude or location?
Dust in the atmosphere might lower temperatures and solve the global warming crisis.

I'm nowhere near the coast, so a Tsunami isn't a big concern.

I learned a long time ago not worry about things I cant control. It makes life a lot less stressful. I'll just keep paying my bills.

I plan to retire in two years...this leaves only 5 years to sleep in!!! I feel cheated. But on the bright side I can spend more in retirement since it only has to last 5 years.

:D:D:D

According to an episode of Star Trek: Voyager titled Distant Origin, they saw it coming and shipped out to the Delta Quadrant.

Okay, okay...great tongue-in-cheek responses here...thanks for the chuckle. But seriously...

You can't fool Father Physics. Remember E=mc2? Even a small asteroid, "only" a few miles wide, moving at high speed, would cause worldwide catastrophic damage, no matter where it hit. (We gun owners especially should understand this.)

Do I think it's going to happen anytime soon? I certainly hope not! But it's not something to dismiss lightly, which is exactly why all those scientists are paying attention to it...

With the way things have been going for me, it’ll hit my gun safe…

There’s a lot of stuff out there and we’re going to get hit by something that’s why you need to live every moment as best you can. No guarantees, natural occurrences might kill us and if not looks like we’re on a path to kill ourselves….beware of plastic too

No worries........

Not gonna be another dinosaur killing event ever again.....
The aliens who came here after that and now live in the deepest parts of our oceans and Mount Shasta will not let that happen again.......They will take care of any earth destruction object long before it gets here....so relax and enjoy.......

If our home-grown aliens can't stop an asteroid, I have complete confidence in Elon to shoot off a Space-X rocket that will turn it into little pieces of souvenir pebbles. :D

If he's worth his salt all you need to do is get out early enough and give it a slight nudge so that it passes us, gotta be careful you don't have it whack the moon on the way by, that would play hell with the tide tables.

..., the end is always near, all the time, depending on whom is talking at the time...
