I saw the rocket/booster portion re-enter the atmosphere back in the eighties. It was very impressive

I remember this happened to the 6 Million Dollar Man. The Russian Venus probe fell back to earth and the probe, which was invulnerable (because it was made to survive on Venus) went on a rampage and Steve Austin had to 'fight'' it. Shortly afterr this episode he was wrestling an inflatable rubber alligator and the show REALLY 'jumped the shark' (or the alligator). It looked so awful that Majors was trying hard to keep from laughing.

Elon has approximately 6000 Star link sattelites in orbit . 4000 of them are in low earth orbit with a goal of 42,000 They have a life of 5 years and burn up as start to decay.

Astronomers are miffed as the low orbit satellites have wings that reflect the sun's rays causing shiny streaks on their images.

A lot of these can be seen with the naked eye at night.

He is a modern Renaissance man.

Might have been the same thing I saw. Timing’s about right. Lived in St Petersburg.
Huge fireball from horizon to horizon!
Impressive sight indeed.

Elon launched 28 satellites using the same booster.

Remarkable!
The more I see of the man the more I think he may be out of his tree.
I'd love to see whatever research into unintended consequences of tons of aluminum oxides and non ionizing radiation flooding the ozone that has been gathered or the fact that one or more will eventually boink off another setting into motion a cascade of pachinko ball bouncing around overhead.
