Black powder never goes bad- everything in it is stable. Even if damp, it will still fire. If it gets wet- it will dry out and still flow just fine. I've used bp rifles on plenty of game, but only about 1/2 dozen or so times I've used BP revolvers on game animals- but they are quite effective...

Couldn't a new, longer barrel above 105mm be fitted and make the gun (under CA law) "legal" instead of surrendering it? Just asking because I'm curious.

One other option that you can do, that I did some time ago... Have another cylinder fitted for almost any .357 (J, K or L frame), and have it cut for 9mm. I've had this done and it seems to work well. When I had it done some time ago, it was an act of congress to get two identical cylinders...

Propane is the only way to go on a generator. It never goes bad, and you don't have to worry about gas again. Best advice I can give is even if you use gas with an additive- keep an extra carb on the shelf- never know when you might need it.

The only think I know *for certain* about iron stoves are... They are hard to tote up steep grades. At least, that's what John Wayne said. ;)

The Wondersight also comes to mind. ;) I'm certainly glad I ordered 100 T-grips last time. :D
