    Finally Getting a K-22

Congratulations, on your purchase. I too believe that the K-22 is the world's finest .22 revolver. I have a 17-4 and love it. It was my first S&W purchase, and it brought on The Illness. There might never be a cure.

    Is this a Model 1905 2nd Change?

Thank you very much for the explanation, and photo. I guess I will have to take off the side plate and check to see if the slide is keyed. Until I get up the nerve to do that I will consider it a 1st Change. Thanks again.

    Is this a Model 1905 2nd Change?

I just picked up what I think is a Model 1905 2nd Change, but I am not sure. It is well worn, with maybe 15% of the original finish remaining. It has been in the family of a good friend for it's entire life, and I am pretty certain it is all original. The wear on all parts is the same. The...

    Show off your M & P revolvers (pre-10's)

Here is mine, sn 256xxx. Not perfect, but really fun to shoot. It's accurate and smooth as glass.

    Show off your M & P revolvers (pre-10's)

Here is mine, serial number 2653xx, made about 1917. She shoots like a dream. It's hard to beat the quality and worksmanship that went into these old revolvers.

    Dallas Mkt. Hall Show report

I like the guys who walk around the shows with T-shirts that looks like the sleeves have been cut off with a weed eater. If they are morbidly obese, that adds to the effect.

    About Side-plate Logos

Yes, the wide legs of the "W" are depressed their entire width on the 1917 M&P pictured at the beginning of the thread, as is the stylized center portion of the "S", and the diamonds at 3 and 9 o'clock.

    1917 .38 M&P Value?

Does your M&P have the 3-line patent dates on the right side of the barrel? I can't tell from the pic.

    AuctionArms ends SNIPING

I think it's an improvement. Auctions don't function as they were intended, if they end according to a clock. They are supposed to end when the last person who wants to make a bid has done so. Just my opinion, of course...

Finally picked up my M&P today......

Those old M&P's are easy to look at. Yours is a real beauty. Have you taken your temperature? I think you may have a touch of The Fever. It can be difficult, if not impossible to cure. I have it.....it's chronic.

    Gun Show Observations & questions

I went to the "Big Show" in Reno last week. They have it 3 times a year. Been going to it for many years. I can't put my finger on it, but something was not the same about this last show. The prices were so outragious that all I bought was a brick of .22 ammo. There were dozens of old...

    S&W Trademark

Does anyone have any knowledge about when the change was made and how long it lasted? Later M&P's, from the photos I have seen on here, had the borders restored to the trademark.

    S&W Trademark

I have a M1905 M&P, 4th change, with serial number 265,3xx. It has the S&W trademark on the sideplate. The word "TRADE" on the top of the trademark, and the work "MARK" on the bottom do not have a borderline around them. Can anyone tell me the time period when this variation of the trademark...
