I have a very nice 1917, that has almost no finish left, but is in otherwise almost pristine condition. Tight lock up, very few dings in the original smooth military grips, swivel present, mirror bore...but dull patina grey surfaces. I'd really like for this to be WWII style parkerised. Does...

I got one with a good, solid action, but little or no finish [other than patina] and perfect timing for $500.00. I love this old gun!

HP38, Winchester Large Pistol Primers and Lazer Cast lead bullets or home cast 230 RNL work the best for me.

I have a flex neck bore light I got at harbor freight. I'd put the pistol at full cock,and shine the light through the firing pin hole,through the cylinder,and down the barrel.if the cylinder is out of alignment it should then be visible.

I'd do it in a heart beat.The 1917 I have served through at least two wars,has no original finish,and locks up as tight as the day it was made.Those things were built like a tank,and not a Renault,either...
