I just traded for a 4" 686-6 on Saturday. The test fire date is 12/10/14, so it's nearly new. It's a sweet shooter!

These are from Speed Shooter Specialities...I have a CDP magwell and five matching magazine base plates for an M&P45. They're in great condition! $125 shipped...that's less than the base plates alone would cost. Pics on request...

I wasn't nearly as impressed with the factory trigger on my 45c, or maybe I was just impatient and wanted a nice trigger now. Anyway, the Apex DCEK is just what the doctor ordered! All 3 of my M&Ps have Apex parts.

Agreed!! I have ZERO interest in a shield. The 9c does everything the shield does and it holds more ammo. My 9c is easily as accurate as the 5" 9mm Pro I had. I've never seen a 9c that wasn't a great shooter.

The barrel on a FS .45 is already longer than a FS 9/40. (4.5" vs 4.25") The FS .45 is one of the most accurate guns I've ever experienced out of the box. I can't imagine another 1/2" of barrel really making a significant improvement.

Agreed...the Pros have a slightly nicer trigger than the standard ones, but they're nowhere close to the triggers using Apex parts.

Congrats on the new M&Ps. It's not at all unusual to outshoot a 1911 with one....these things just shoot! Enjoy!

My point was/is that the 1911 doesn't always have a better trigger or shoot better. I've owned several 1911s (Colt, SA, and STIs) and just never shot them as well as I do the M&P line. For me, the M&P is faster, simpler, far more reliable, and easily as accurate. The lower cost is just a bonus...
