I have had a couple in mixed gun and knife displays behind glass with the lids propped open about a 1/5 of the way. The air is dry here , the display area has constant temp, the guns are cleaned, lubed and Renaissance waxed. I never keep any gun in a closed case or in any nearly air tight...
I don't think I would take $1000.00 for my S series mod 29. I seriously doubt I could replace it at all. You never see the really nice ones for sale to the public at any price. The cherry ones are spoken for by our friends "if you ever want to sell or trade it." People ask $800.00 for N frames...
I was an Army Aviator In Viet Nam and used one exactly like that with the S&W .38 in 1970-71. I did't get either one through official channels. They were scarce and in high demand, so Instead of getting the run around from supply and the armorer, you traded something to someone going home or...

I need to study the Idaho bill. I asked my representative to to bill to make the permitless carry apply to all similarly Non- prohibited US citzens. I am proud that Idaho has recognized permits of every state, and with no extortion reciprocity demand. We don't want our state to deny you a...
Someone here posted a set of smooth elk antler, from a maker in Colorado. Might be the prettiest grips I can remember. The lighter color grips on Nickel or stainless guns always look great IMHO.
Mine has seen more use , has box with homemade liner and I consider it worth 1000.00 but it is not for sale. 6 1/2 " is what Dirty Harry and I made cool.
I wonder if years from now, people will be saying they found a great Smith, but unfortunately somebody altered the key-lock so its collector value is diminished.
