I use Remington 38 super brass and Revolver Supply Extreme .040 moonclips. The more clips you buy the cheaper they are and they are much cheaper than the EDM clips.

I just finished putting a 627-4 38 super cylinder in a 929. The gun works with both cylinders. The 38 super cylinder is the same length as the 929 cylinder.

Thats strange as I have 2 625's and a 627 with the X frame Houge grips on them. All of them are round butt.

Are you using moon clips? How much end shake does the gun have? Might need to open the gun up and see if it has any drag marks that shows rubbing that might slow the hammer down.
