.357, .38, and .44 mag speer shotshells with rock salt?

My experience has been different with the 2" .38 cal. I use #9 with Bullseye, rats, squirrels and copperheads die quickly within eight feet. I am rarely without my .38 when on the land. I have not used this at greater distances.

I used a crock pot with citric acid until I bought an ultrasonic. [I did not cook in that pot.]

    New Bodyguard 38 vs. 642, 638

Have you shot one? If so, how often? My wife has one, she loves it with the larger Hogue grip. In her hand, it is an excellent firearm. Others, perhaps not.

    Calipers

I have a HF digital, pretty cheap. I can see the numbers, a real plus, the dial was becoming difficult. But it also will read out in fractions as well as decimals, other digitals may do the same, don't know. I have found that helpful off the hand load bench.

    Bullet Puller Tip

I found O rings that fit in mine at plumbing supply store, very cheap, no shipping. I have read on here that using a shell holder is dangerous; I don't understand how that would be. However, it is on the 'net so it has to be true.

Lou, thank you for an excellent post. It ought to be a sticky. I would like to have read it years and dollars ago. Thanks, again.

    In praise of Inline Fabrication

I have been pleased with the ultramount and ergo handle for a T-7. Their products are solid and well thought out.

    Self/Home defense loading

The trait of not knowing when to quit will be one you value highly should that lawyer be working on your behalf. Of my many admirable characteristics, I value my determination and tenacity even more than my native intelligence. I out work far more lawyers than I out think.

    Missouri Bullet Company mold

I have hesitated to write MBC due to the work load they have. Does someone know what brand mold they use for .38/.357 bullets?

    "Thinking" About Reloading 38 Special

You might think of a turret. I have the Redding T-7, load .38's for revolver and rifle. I enjoy using it. The RCBS 5-0-5 is a fine scale, I have used mine for several years. I have an electronic and use it very little, I trust the 5-0-5 for the low weight Bullseye and 231 charge.

    Do you own a hammer-less J?

340 PD, love when shooting .38's, now .357 is another story - the love is gone.
