The ammo recommendations in the manual are just that. Recommendations.
My personal go to bullet is the Remington Golden Bullet and I consistently get dime sized groups out of my rifles with them at 50 yards. People can talk **** about them all day long and that is cool with me, cause in this...
I personally been getting my ammo from Big 5 as the stores around here get ammo shipments every Monday, and if I am there when they open at 10AM, I am pretty guaranteed to leave with with a box of 525 Remington Golden Bullet. Just visit every Monday for my weekly allotment of bullets.
Awesome rifle. I love mine, but I haven't been shooting mine as much as the .22lr is hard to find. I find I am shooting my bolt actions more these days.
I personally think the MOE is a great deal. You can buy the rifle, rip off all the MOE stuff and in turn sell it for a minor profit as the premium you pay is less then buying the parts piece by piece.
I am using the new and improved buckets and newly produced 525 green and yellow bulk boxes of them.
Well I recently started shooting .22's since this past Oct. I have heard many bad things about the Remington Golden Bullet from here and other forums so I have always shied away from them...
I have used Remington Golden Bullet HP to much success. Both my CZ 452 and M&P 15-22 love it and I have yet to get a single FTF with them.
50 Yard - 5 shot group.
Hope more people keep hating on them, cause with this ammo shortage, I'll take em all.
If I was going to get a fake suppressor, I would get one of these from Kinitech. They have a bunch of styles to choose from as well.
S&W MP 15-22 rifle - Kineti-Tech
I personally found the ammo I used that gave me issues with that. Winchester 555 and the Federal bulk gave my 15-22 jams probably one ever 15 shots on average.
The CCI Minimags was a bit better with 1 ever 35 shots so.
Awkwardly enough, opposed to the manual not recommending Remington Golden...
I know the manual says not to shoot the Remington Golden Bullets, but I had one of their buckets that I shoot out of my CZ542, and surprisingly, they feed more reliably than the Winchester and Federal bulk that I have tried out of my 15-22. I have shoot probably about 400 rounds of it through...
The performance center comes with the match chamber and barrel which are built to tighter tolerances than the other 15-22's. this makes it so you caNnot use certain ammo like CCI Stingers, which are made a tad longer than other .22 ammo.
I personally don't own a performance center, but from...
I personally find that ammo even varies form batch to batch. I had no problems with the first batch of Winchester 555 ammo I bought from Walmart but the batch I bought from Tuners Outdoorsman gave me a bunch of problems.
That is usually the culprit of not loading your magazines right. You have to be sure that the bullets are staggered in the magazine or this will happen with every bullet that isn't.
Also, be sure to try different types of ammo in the gun as it is very finicky.
