Yes, I like my Shield a lot. I've never had any problems with it whatsoever. It is my cc most of the time. On the occasion when I have to go out quick and get a gallon of milk or something, I use my BG380.

Try a different brand of ammo. I've read more problems with WWB than any other brand.

Ditto on GKC. Had the same problem with my Shield when new. The only way to get a full magazine in was to load it with the slide back. It got a lot easier the more rounds I put through it.

I'm almost embarrassed to admit this: I buy a blue mag for my blue guns and nickel for my stainless ones. They match.
