Finally found a local CS9 at a price I wanted to pay, box and papers with two factory magazines. I am a happy guy, haven't got to take it to the range yet but that will happen by next weekend if weather permits.

Congrats on the new offspring. Those tanks are often overlooked for plastic fantastic and usually be had for a good price due to that line of thinking.

This is about my 8th 3rd gen in 9mm, haven't broke or wore out any of em. I know everybody is worried about parts availability but I believe I will be dust before any of these little tanks are wore out :D
Range report and better photos to follow
Looks like I will be making my own Big Dog style grips as the member who used to make them is off the grid.

Carry mine everyday. Really happy I stumble across the Chiefs Special line. Have 9mm and 40 - on the hunt for a 45 next. Bad addiction....

I like that my 3913 mags fit the CS9 as well, now if I can just find a set of Bigdogs grips for the CS, I will be set :) Also for what its worth, my 39-2 mags work as well on the CS-9

Have you had any luck finding additional mags? I've got a CS45 and the search for those mags has been fruitless to this point.

Nice gun.......

I have a number of 3913/14s ...and some of the flush fit 7rd. mags..... but never warmed to the CS guns....

always thought that they should have come with a 6round mag and a 7rd.

Smaller than a 3913 with an 8round mag..... yes...... but not enough to make a difference when using a holster ....same height as my 3913 w/ a flush fit mag.

and too big for my "Wrangler's" pockets.

Now if I hadn't already had multiple 3913/14s.... I would have one today!!!!

That's a "cute little devil" Wouldn't mind one myself. I recently made a trade for a 5906. ( my 1st gen 3) The opportunity came up! I found an old post from the Forum, that I had placed almost 4 yrs. ago about 5906. Obviously I had forgotten about it. So 1st on gen3, and within weeks of that 1st J Frame ever, 36. Bob

Got it out to the range over the weekend and made a set of grips for it last week out of a spare set I had for my 3913 Kinda my own take on the Bigdog grips, works perfect, shoots like a dream very accurate, BIG fireballs when shooting though :D

How did you manage to secure the grips?

Drilled (very carefully) holes in the grips to mount where the old hogue rubber grip screws mounted, little patience and a dremel works great. the grip skin covers the mounting holes, very stable.
