Well, I've already cast my vote for the .44 mag, but there's a lot to be said for 8 rounds of .357. Especially, if you stoke it with hot 200 gr. loads.
These photos make me miss my Model 57 and Ruger Blackhawk. I always wanted to find a Marlin lever gun to match calibers with those guns back when I had them. Never found one, and now some of you guys post pictures of several Marlin .41 mags.
So, that's what happened to that gun!?
I've had the 627 UDR on my Bud's wish list since September. Got an email notification from Bud's yesterday. By the time I followed their link...it was gone!

I've made similar moves when trading firearms. Some even worse. I've owned two Alaskans, both the .454 and .44 mag versions. While they are nice guns, I'm back to a 629 3".
I've tried to like the .454 in three or four different guns including a lever action carbine. It's either just too much...
I love the PC snubbies. Though, I don't own any. I do own a 629 3" PC gun. I guess that is close enough for a snubby.
I've lusted after the 627 and 651 PC guns, too.
I'm going out on a limb here, but I think the "pig" comment refers to the 646. Not that it's not a nice looking gun. But, rather it's an odd caliber to chamber a revolver in. While a 10mm revolver can shoot both the .40 S&W and the 10mm. The 646 is stuck with just the .40, but then a model 15...
