Congrats. I just ordered one yesterday so I figure a week before I pick it up from my FFL. If all goes well and after a few hundred rounds it will replace my Shield 9mm as my carry gun.

I love shooting my Mk II & III and one or the other and sometimes both go to the range with me every trip. I have not found any brand of ammo yet that either will chew through. I usually go through a couple of hundred rounds per range trip.

The only modifications I made were to put Pearce Grips, Grip Extensions on all of the magazines a placed a Hogue Rubber Grip on the pistol grip.

The prefer the 3 dot sights that came with the firearm.

I wipe off the follower after shooting but only break down the magazine once a year to clean and very lightly oil the spring. If I buy used magazines I tear them down and do a through cleaning.

I have test fired both Critical Duty 115gr. and Hornady Custom 124gr. and both ran fine. No hangups, stutters, or FTEs. I currently have Critical Defense 115gr. as my carry round. The Hornady Custom are in my spare magazines.

I do not love any firearm but my Shield 9mm has performed well with every misc. bit of ammo I have run through it. I trust it enough to carry daily and that is all I need to know.
