Its a very tough durable pistol, that you'll enjoy for a long time. My only knock on mine was the trigger action. The trigger return spring rides in a horizontal tunnel just above the trigger guard in the frame. The coils of the return spring chide on the sharp edge of this tunnel and you feel...
I like 'em. Quick on target. Excellent in dark or low light environment. Of course very easy in daylight conditions. I use the HD's on several of my handguns and just find them very easy and reliable.

Take a look at the Precision One 380 XTP rounds. Great penetration and expansion. In every test, those LeHigh rounds over penetrate and don't expand at all. Leaving nothing more than an ice pick wound. Nice if that's all you have and you're trying to shoot through glass or car sheet metal but...
I tried a few different brands and settled on Williams Fire Sights for the M&P22 . They are built like a tank, adjustable rear, fiber optic bright, and tall enough for use with a suppressor.
-Mike
They'll fit the slide with maybe a little fine sizing if needed. If you want a fiber optic set made for the M&P22 check out the Williams Fire Sights. The rear is adjustable for fine tuning.

I have a couple of them. They function fine, but they add a huge length to the overall grip size (enough to get a double grip on the grip area alone...). Almost like having a bipod on it. I have them for range entertainment only. I would never carry it on my hip with a 14 rounder in it.

I have both and if you can find the Trijicon HD's for your gun I'd go with those. The Big Dot's are Ok if you can't find HD's. The Big Dot washes out targets at greater distances, whereas the HD's don't.

If this is ever going to be your carry gun I'd look at upgrading the extractor to one of the Apex Fail Resistant Extractors. I had the same issues with my M&P 45. It was destined for the "Range Only" pile till my local gunsmith guru gave it a thorough going over. For some reason the stock M&P...
It'd probably just have to be one of these nylon ones from Holster Man on Ebay. Nylone Pistol Holsters. They're actually not too bad, and I have several that I use just to protect the guns for storage and have an extra mag handy.
-Mike
You didn't say what you wanted it for. But if it's just a general purpose storage kind of holster I just use on of the cheap one's from Holster Man on Ebay. For $20 you can't beat it for housing your pistola and one extra mag. Other carry holsters? There are hundreds to choose from. I like the...
