i'm using the whole trigger kit(trigger,springs,disconnect) and it is definitely lighter, shorter, and smoother. The springs alone wont give you all this as the whole trigger system lets you tune in the travel/hammer release, over travel, and disconnect.

I do everything Bret does but with WD-40.

I don't think the poundage was the problem with mine. It was the consistency. Sometimes it would pull straight through and sometimes it would snag. Now it's a smooth consistent 3.5#

When you click on the link you will see instructional videos on installing the entire trigger system. Just take the disassembling part into account and replace springs. but watch the whole video to get a good understanding on how the mechanics work on fire controls.

Quick thought on high velocity .22LR bullets exiting and entering the sound barrier. .22 caliber pistols have a real problem with this because they come out of the barrel teetering on this line. So you will see a lot of match and pistol match .22lr ammo made to shoot subsonic through a hand gun...

I'm finding my barrel likes heavier grain bullets no matter the speed. Accuracy depletes quickly with anything under 36grains with mine. Although I've only shot a couple lighter than 36g they have both proven to not be on par with anything I've shot in 40 grain including the hyper velocity...
