I have the 686 PC 2.5 and carry OWB in a Galco Combat Master holster as well. I love it! I carry 125 gr critical defense 357. I have nothing negative to say about the 2.5.

Love the grips? Any idea who makes them? I would love a set on my JM.

+1 for RIMZ Poly moon clips. I only use the steel and demooner for my self defense loads. All my target ball ammo I use the poly moon clips and they are amazing.

Also not checkered, but I have the Hogue hardwood finger groove grips on my JM and love them compared to the factory grip.

They don't give that blue ribbon out to just anyone!

Stocks look nice Bananaman, I had my eye on those as well but wanted deeper finger grooves.

HarrishMasher, I liked the factory gold dot when outside and the sun was behind me. But indoors at my local range it did not pick up the light at all. The Hiviz does a better job but is still dim inside. I love how easy it is to swap it out. Wish my 686 PC had that same set up. As for the 686...

The new grips and front sight I ordered came in for my 625 JM. Went with the Hiviz .250 green front sight and Hogue Exotic Rosewood finger grooved grips. Love it! Took the 625 JM and my 686 PC out to the range this morning. This was my first time shooting the 686 PC with the Hogue Bantam grips...

Picked up a NIB 625 JM from my LGS on Tuesday. They had a sale going and feel I got it for a fair price. Took her out to the range today with my dad to break her in and could not be happier! I didn't mind the ribbed trigger as much as I thought I would. Did give me a nasty blood blister...

Picked up a set of Hogue Bantam grips for my 686 off Amazon. They arrived today and just put them on. Overall pretty happy with them. I have Hogue grips on my 1911 and had them on my AR and have always been happy. BUT, there is this lingering feeling in the back of my mind that says a revolver...

Having the same problem as above with factory moon clips that came with my 686 PC and Hornady Critical Defense Rounds. Would love to know of any suggestions as well.
