Well with the rumor of S&W releasing a new/updated version of the M&P at Shotshow , my first thought is that S&W has perhaps moved to a trigger system similar to Apex's and is trying to undercut them.

I have a full size 9 and a Shield 9, I also admit that I am a bit of an S&W fan boy. I desperately wanted to like the bodyguard but couldn't. I went with a Ruger LCP for pocket carry and it has been great.

Has anyone tried fitting a frame plug from the full size models? It looks like it may fit.

I have to agree with the guys who bring up the price concerns on the XDs and not just that they are $150 plus more. My issue is that the HS2000, which is what a XD really is, was $300 gun before Springfield Armory licensed it , stuck their name on it, and double the price.

I would recommend checking out the 9c as well. It is small enough for conceal carry and large enough for range work/class work.

You're absolutely right, anyone can learn to be a good shooter. The problem is that the AVERAGE person does not take the time and put in the effort to become a good shooter. Instead they would rather just blame the gun. Hell I have friends that are cops and only shoot when they have to qualify...
