Extended Mag release for M&P C.O.R.E.

Yes, the CORE mag release is larger than my stock M&P-9L and I do not have to change my grip to release the mag. Additionally with the Pro Series CORE last year, the grip texture changed and is a bit rougher. Both of my CORE'S WERE MFG. IN 2013, about 6 months apart. I carried S&W .357 during my...

Installed an Apex sear and USB-what a difference!

3.5 to 4 lb is lowest trigger for carry. A group of Ruger 1911 owners at our club's indoor range had theirs set to 2 lbs. When I tried it, knowing the rework, I still had apremature discharge downrange! Way too light. I'm still evaluating M&P-9 Pro CORE before trying Apex.

M&P-40 C.O.R.E. Magazine rattle My M&P-9 C.O.R.E. 17 round mags do not rattle and eject like a bat. You will like the pistol. I used my old M&P-9L 5" to complete 3 courses at Front Sight Nevada with no FTF, FTE issues at all. 600 rounds, 600 rounds and 550 rounds per course! See...

Just tried out my new M&P9 CORE

I bought the M&P-9 CORE in 5" barrel Thursday and cleaned it that nite. I surprised myself Friday at the range; great accuracy out of the box. Now to save up for an optic! It is definitely the pistol I will take to Front Sight Training for another 4-day Defensive Handgun and or Skillbuiilder...

Help me decide which M&P to buy

RE: Help Me decide which M&P to buy Michael256; I looked at both the Pro CORE models in 4.25 & 5" yesterday. (They also have a 5" CORE & 5" Pro Series CORE in .40 S&W.) This was a learning process for me, since I initially thought the CORE series were ALL Pro Series. This is not the case...

As a former police officer (in the dark ages), we carried the M&P-in .38 and later M&P Model 66 .357 Magnum in Stainless. As we retired from our agency, (ended by the Panama Canal Treaties of 1977) we attempted to, but were denied, purchase of our carry revolvers. At any rate, my life depended...

    VTAC PVD Source?

Doc, they have contracted with Viking Tactical in NC for the finish & sights. I saw the M&P40 VTAC last week in one of local gunshops and wrote asking if I could buy the sights for my M&P9 Longlside. The reply was they are not selling separate components due to supplying VTAC to S&W. It is more...

Is there a " Duty To Retreat" ?

Duty to Retreat The first change in the formerly Democrate controlled NC Legislator in 112 years has passed several favorable gun laws effective DEC 1st, 2011. The Castle doctrine expands ones "duty" from the home to any location if threatened to use sufficient force, without concern of...

    M&P40 Pro 5"

After 5 weeks of indoor range time with this new pistol, I finally conceded the front fiber optic sight had to go. No one can tell me why the 4.25" Pro model has factory night sights, yet the 5" barrel has the FO. So thanks to their decision, this great-grand father had to part with $100. for...

I recently signed up due to my interest in the M&P line and owning two 5" Longslide models. I retired (again) in Sept. 2008 and my interest in range shooting returned after a 25 year leave, due to family & job requirments=zero time. I tried many models in late'08 & most of 2009, when I happened...
