    Favorite Non S & W Handgun?

If I had to pick just one it would be my Ruger OM Blackhawk in .41Magnum. It kept a mean old range cows horns out of my hide. If I can choose a semi-auto it would be my Glock 19 that I carry when I go to a FREE state.

How hard is 41 magnum to find?

.41Magnum ammo Not particularly. As much as I shoot the .41Magnum though, it is simpler to crank a couple thousand rounds out on the ol' Dillon RL650. Those 8 pounders of Unique go fast for the everyday loads.

What is the best 686 version?

The one I like best is my 3-inch converted to a 6 shot .41Special by Hamilton Bowen. No can't post pictures as I'm technologically challenged.

    Airlite Model 357PD Info Needed

I sold mine with 100 rounds of Dixie's properly headstamped .41Special brass. Makes it much nicer to shoot. I use it in my S&W 686 3 inch converted by Bowen and my Reeder Witchita Special flat top.

    Poll: Pets on bed

A resounding NO. Our dogs have their own kennel and run with a heated house for the winter. Only time in the house is whelping or old age and then they sleep by the hearth in their own beds. Besides, I've got gas enough for the whole room, I don't need a dog to help out. They are nice to point...

    NIB 357NG .41 Mag for $799?

Hunter, Give me the address as I seem to recall Coloradans can't own firearms anymore or some such. LOL I'd have the money out and pen in hand. It would be a good gun for my .41Special loads. JOE

    M-357PD real-world experience

I sold my S&W 357 PD to a guy along with some properly headstamped brass in .41Special. I'll wait a little while and see what he has to say. You can't shoot "GONZO" loads in the little darlins' and expect such a lightweight handgun to stay pristine. I save the .41Magnum "GONZO" loads for my...

    657-4 MG

Try the selection from Montana Bullet works. They have an extensive line of plain base and gas checked.

    Should I buy a Model 657 with 4" barrel????

A 4 inch 657 is alot like hen's teeth, pretty scarce. I've been wanting another for some time now. Unfortunately, mine will be even more scarce having to be an "in state" gun. Get the .41Magnums at least if you can handle the outlay of cash. YMMV.

    7 shot .41 magnum?

The 686 is a conversion by Bowen. I sent the 686 to him along with +/- $700 and got back a primo .41Special DA. No pics as I can't upload anything from work and no computer at home. I would like a full 5-shot .41Magnum Scorpion by Reeder after I see how the government BFs us per the "fiscal...

    whats your favorite cigar

I'm kind of a lightweight and smoke milder, mellow cigars like the Macanudo Golds either the Tubo or Hampton Court. Vega 5 Golds, RJs, and Oliva Gs are also mild enough for me. With the cigars, I have a little JD single barrel or honey, Ketel one vodka, or ten cane rum. A cup of decaf with...

    7 shot .41 magnum?

5 shot I've got a Bowen 6 shot .41Special S&W 3" 686 that's one of my never sell guns. Load it with properly headstamped .41Special Starline brass.

    Whats your favorite caliber?

Don't even have to think about it. The .41Magnum is the king in my safe. Favorite firearm in that caliber is an OM Ruger Blackhawk I've had since the 60's.

    Realistic Gunfights In Movies

One I like the best is: "Way of the Gun." Reloads, movement, communication, and just plain familiar handling was spot on. Caan used his snubby in the final scenes doing the shoot two, load two, method.
