    Kudos For DeSantis Holsters

I regularly use DeSantis holsters I bought in1977, including two different style shoulders. I knew Gene back when the company was a two man shop. He's a really good guy. Most of the DEA and Customs agents I worked with carried in DeSantis leather. ( I may have the only Luger speed scabbard...

So do any of you AIWB a K frame?

As a Sky Marshal (technically, Customs Security Officer) in 1971 I flew worldwide with a Model 15 4" with a Barami clip grip under a banlon? shirt, no jacket with no problem. I was 5'11" and about 155 lb. at the time. The Barami only came for right handed shooters and I'm lefthanded so it was...

    Happy Birthday 19-3

Small correction, respectfully submitted. In 1970 there was no Customs and Immigration Service. Those guns were ordered by the U. S. Customs Agency Service, the investigative branch of the then Bureau of Customs. We were Special Agents, gs 1811's, and investigated all international...

    Chic Gaylord was a . . .

I knew Paris Theodore back in the early '70's. He was a character and very creative. I have a curved belt buckle knife he had made out of one piece of stainless steel. It was too expensive to mass produce. He was good to me. Best, Joe

Eagle1, if you don't mind my asking, who made that holster. It's exactly what I'm looking for. Sorry for sort of hijacking the thread. Best, Joe

    BARAMI hip-grip?

I was issued a Barami for a 4" Model 15 in 1971 Sky Marshal school. At 155 pounds I flew on 4 continents with the gun under banlon (sp?) shirts and never got made. Wasn't always comfortable but worked good. Best, Joe

    US Customs Patrol Officer Commemorative

Thanks for the memory. I was a 1971 Sky Marshal and later an SCPO (Supervisory Customs Patrol Officer). I couldn't afford the commorative when they came out. Nice to see one. Best, Joe
