    M&P 15-22 bipod help

I have one of these and absolutely love it. Grip Bipod UTG Fore Grip Quick Release 100% Aluminum MNT-DG01Q For Carbine Quad

    First range trip

The "greasy" ammo seems to like the 15-22's. Also, you will find the rifle cleans up a lot quicker.

    First range trip

Try some Norma TAC22. I get about 1 FTF per thousand. I consider that excellent. Also, keep the magazines clean at the top. They will get powder buildup inside the upper lip that can cause mis-feeds. I clean mine every time I clean the gun after shooting.

M&P 15-22 Ejection Port Dust Cover by PainterlyShotGroup review.

Honestly, unless you're dragging your rifle through the mud crawling on your belly, a dust cover really doesn't do anything. The bolt is normally closed so nothing big can get in there and the bolt itself has space between itself and the upper so minor dirt won't make it hang up either. With...

Anyone used or heard of this red dot?

I have a light on my 15-22 BFD. I have it for S/D. It brighter than all get out. It also has a great strobe on it. It's very disorienting to look into and that's the whole idea. If you want back-up sights go for it. Batteries do die, and electronics do go bad. If it happens to look cool, is...

New first timer here with a ammo question

Absolutely can not be used in the performance center version. but in the regular version which I have I've fired a couple hundred of them with no issues at all, except they've got some extra kick which puts a smile on my face.

Front take down pin and wobble problem

Mine only has the wobble when it's open. As soon as the upper and lower are pinned together, the wobble is gone. If it only wobbles when it's open I wouldn't worry about it.

Sent my 15-22 back to Smith today

It's either the spring latch on the charging handle or the nub on the upper that the spring latch hooks onto is worn down. Should be easy enough to tell though. That's what would allow it to fall out as far as I know. Other opinions?

My bolt is scraping my bullets

That's another reason I like my greasy Tac22 Ammo. There's no abrasion of the plastic at all. All my mags look and work brand new.

    Shooting Basics (I need Help!)

I would just shoot with whatever hand works best even if that's different from a handgun to a long gun. I'm left handed and I do certain things much better right handed than left. That's just how some people are. It reminds me of back in the day when the Nuns would hit your hand with a ruler...

M&P 15-22 Brand New Failure To Eject (FTE)

Personally, as long as someone is polite with me I appreciate being told when I say something improperly or use the wrong terms. My ego is small enough that I know I can be wrong and I appreciate that the person that told me is preventing me from possible further embarrassment down the road...

    front grip what works best

I use the UTG D Grip Bipod. It is very high quality all aluminum and the swing down bipod is also all aluminum. I love mine and it has a cool "OH WOW" factor as well when you hit the button and it swings down. Leapers, Inc. - Hunting/Shooting, Sporting Goods and Security Gear

    Bolt Resistance?

never had to do a thing to the rails as they are pretty much silky smooth and perfect. My rifle was built last April so maybe they improved the process.

    M&P 22 Compact

Some guys here have said ones for the Shield work. I'd go to a good gun shop and try a couple of those out.

    Bolt Resistance?

You can say there is no particular coating, but my rail is black. Steel is not black. S&W definitely put a material on it for a reason and I seriously doubt it is just to make it look pretty. I guarantee you that if left unprotected, the coated one will not corrode as fast as a raw shiny steel...
