    2015 586-8 Classic cylinder gap

Hi all. I just picked up a 2015 586-8 and I noticed I was able to move the cylinder back and forth. I did some reading here and wanted to run my findings past everyone. I'm coming up with .008 max on one side and as much as .013 on the other side. First off, is this excessive and what are the...

    568 Serial Number

Hi all, I have my eye on a used 586. I was told it was less than a year old and that it wasn't fired much. It's a local gun shop near me. Is there any way to tell from the serial number? It's CYV09xx Thank you, Joe

Shield 9mm to 45acp, did you or would you?

I don't have a Shield 9mm but I shot my friends a bunch of times. I decided to buy a Shield 45 about a year ago and I absolutely love it!! For me, the fit in my hand makes it more enjoyable to shoot than my Springfield Trophy Match! Just my 2 cents

A friend of mine was shooting it at the time so I don't know how much pressure he put on it. Is the only reason...

    Stuck Trigger !!

I went to the range today and put about 100 rounds of 185 grain ammo through it with no problems. Then I pulled the trigger back, fired a round and the trigger never released! I took the slide off, but I can't see what's wrong. Has anyone had this problem??!! Thanks, Joe

    Looking to buy a 686

Thank you everyone! My next step is to go down to the gun store and see how this feels in my hands. I have an average size hand. Anyone have any problems in this area? Change grips? Thanks again! Joe

    Looking to buy a 686

Thank you to all! Great info from everyone! This revolver will only be for range use, as we can't carry here in New Jersey, and probably never will. I look forward to the purchase and I'll give a report when I get to the range!!Thanks again! Joe

Hi all, I'm looking at purchasing a Model 686 with a 4" barrel to add to my collection. This will be my first revolver purchase and I want to get some ideas and criticism, if any, about this gun. Thank you, Joe

    .45 Shield at the range

I'm glad to hear you like the Shield! I know some people here have used the Talon rubber grip to help with the abrasiveness.
