I, too, have a Colt Cobra. It dates to 1958 and has "Detroit Police" stamped on the backstrap. It has about 80% coverage from being carried, but mechanics are hardly used. I use it for CC and if it was "pretty", it wouldn't get its outings.

In the early 70's Clayton Moore lived in Golden Valley, MN. I worked for a utility company and had a service call at his house. I remember a friendly guy and when I was leaving, he did "HI HO, Silver" for me in the Lone Rangers voice. But, shucks, I got no silver bullet.

I had a '74 Pinto.....never did find out a 0 to 60 time. About 58 mph was the best it would do.

I have a Colt Cobra, 2" marked "Detroit Police" on the back strap. As far as I can tell, it was manufactured in 1968. It came with about 30% wear from being carried, but has been fired very little. I do use it for CC sometimes, as it's light and loads six.
