Fellows, I hate to get simple on you, but here goes.
A buddy and I got into the dry firing discussion again.
So what's the real poop? Can a 29-3 be dry fired without damaging the gun, or not?
Miller's Crossing! The fellow sees his man as he enters the room then quickly ducks back out beside the door...The fellow draws a Webley Green Army (.455) and lets him have it through the wall.
Plop.
I think the gun from Blood Simple is a New Departure. Great movie!
This is my first modern S&W, and nickel too. I like the look, but it seems hard to keep clean. Oil creates a film that's like goo that won't go away. What are you guys doing to control that?
I'm having trouble divining the date of mfgr. for my new 29. Here's a picture. What confuses me is the different font for the 'A' in the number. It probably means nothing, but...
I have the SCOSW, and if I'm doing it right it falls between Jul. '85 and Nov. 85. Is that correct?

I'm new at modern S&W stuff, I only have one so far. Here on the site I've heard about Coke bottle stocks, or grip panels.
I've just started poking around in "The Catalogue" and have only found a little bit.
Were Coke bottle stocks used only on N frames? Did they stop them all together in the...
I found a PERFORMANCE CENTER 629-7 44 MAGNUM HUNTER, which looks pretty much the gun from outer space. It looks like it could be fun. Has anyone here ever taken one for a spin?
Dang! CSI has nothing on GFF!! I've just picked up a 29-3...after that I think I'm a-feared to post anything!:o Well, maybe not. :D
Super job on the pictures, Gaetan!
