    hornady trimmer pilot for 9mm

I bought trimmers for my pistol brass when I started out but I never used them more than once. Turns out the advice that it's not really necessary for most plinking use was correct. More trouble than it's worth and the rewards are nebulous for the kind of shooting I do.

    Recomendations for Ultrasonic cleaners.

I use a Thumlers Tumbler with stainless steel pins and really like the results. I use a media separator to remove the pins then toss in a couple paper towels to pre wipe them. Then onto a cookie sheet into the dryer on a dryer clothes rack on lowest setting. Then back into the media separator...

    How many rounds do you...

re: Pistol steps: Since I may shoot differently from day to day pending how much work I have been doing, I will start off with factory ammo near or at the same grain bullet. I shoot at a distance that provides me a measurable grouping that feels right to me. Then once I can repeat that...

    New to Smith & Wessons

I'm sure you know that when you place the Rugers and the S&W's in the safe, make sure the S&W's are not lower than the Rugers. The S&W's get sensitive about that!!!

Light Crimp? Heavy Crimp for 9mm???

First, stop reloading and buy some manuals and read them before preceeding. Mark them up with high lighters. Make notes in them. Suggest you start with Lymans 49th edition Reloading Handbook, then read Lee 2nd edition, then Sierra V 7th printing, then Hornady 9th edition. At the same time...

Why so many shot very little?

Many today buy little guns and complain they hurt their hands so they don't shoot much. Some quit because at 20-25 dollars a box plus range cost takes the fun out of it. Some buy a gun even though it scares them to just have in case they need it and never shoot it for practice. There are a...

Best Pocket Holster for J-Frame 442?

Lots of confrontations occur just about arms length and usually two rounds are fired unless some one empties a gun according to a recent article I read. If that is true, solid access is a must. IMO, if you purchase the clothing that aids CC, then you can almost carry a full sized Benford 2000...

What's this primer trying to tell me?

Try pushing out the firing pin to examine for damage past the tip. Does it happen on all of them? As you know, the striker hits the primer, bang pushes out the primer partially and is reinserted. If the striker hits the primer again during that process, there could be something as simple as a...

My wife shot a peeping tom today

Lucky you don't line in my state. They'd have you jailed because it is a rare something or the other while at the same time releasing felons with repeat records.

    New member - Holster help

Spend the money and get a good thumb over leather holster and do not use oil to break it in. Let time break it in. There are articles on what not to get in leather (ie carries way to high above the belt). Typically, many like the wheel at belt level. Equally important is the belt as stated...

NEW TO RELOADING- HOW DO YOU DETERMINE CORRECT BULLET SEATING? HELP

You first need to stop loading. Then read the manuals. Not just one manual, but a few manuals. I'd suggest reading the Lyman 49th, Lee 2nd, Sierra V 7th printing and the Hornady 9th for starters. There are more that are good. Once you read them, reread them occasionally. There are...
