What's going to be your next Revolver?

A nice little pocket snubbie like the 351C chambered in .22 magnum!

    Found a 351C and a 351PD. Can't Decide

I own both and love the 351C. It's deadly accurate at 25ft. I performed a trigger job, (polishing and changing springs) and it's so smooth now. I put a set of eagle Secret Service grips on it. The 351PD sits in the safe. Doc

J Frame Rimfire Trigger spring kits

Wolff springs Hi Bruce, I have the S&W 351C & 351PD. I tuned the action on my wife's 351C and installed the Wolff 9 lb. Mainspring and Wolff 14 lb. Rebound spring. With this combination, the trigger pull measured 12 lbs. and the pull was much improved. The firearm was tested with CCI...

S&W Model 18 Combat Masterpiece Box

Pictures as promised The weather was cooperative today so I brought my newly purchased Model 18 outside to take a couple pictures for all of you. For a 1959 Combat Masterpiece, it looks well cared for!

S&W Model 18 Combat Masterpiece Box

Hi everyone, I just purchased a very nice Model 18, that dates to 1959. I would like to find an original box that dates to that period. Can anybody direct me as to which style box I should be looking for, as there seems to be a few different styles/colors for this model. Thanks for your help...

    Polishing, Springs & Trigger Pull

Range results I brought some CCI Stingers, CCI Mini-Mags and a box of Federal target ammo to the range. I shot numerous rounds of the Federal without issue, so I then tried a box of Stingers followed by a box of Mini-Mags. All rounds went off perfectly. I think in total, I shot a couple...

    Polishing, Springs & Trigger Pull

End Result Well, after looking over some notes, I chose to exchange the mainspring and rebound spring with a Wolff 8 lb. mainspring and balance that with a Wolff 13 lb. rebound spring. After reassembling the firearm, the cylinder was loaded with some spent casings and the DA trigger pull...

    Polishing, Springs & Trigger Pull

After installing Wolff springs in my S&W J frame models 442 and 342 and lightly polishing all critical surfaces with my set of ultra- fine Norton Hard Arkansas gunsmithing stones, I was able to achieve really smooth trigger/reset action while reducing the factory trigger pull from over 12 lbs...

    Rebound slide riding surface smoothing

I use a 1/2" x 1/2" x 3" Norton ultra-fine Hard Arkansas stone. These stones are designed for polishing. Be sure to use some good quality oil on the stone. You should be able to find them on eBay or do a google search. Good luck!

Mod. 317 - not what I had hoped for

My 317 is also sensitive to lockup as you described. I found that using Winchester 36 grain JHP resolved the problem. I can shoot cylinder after cylinder and not experience the problem any longer.
