    9mm Shield Holster

I have 2 IWB holsters. 1 hybrid from foxx, the other all leather from captain itch. I like the captain itch better, because I can adjust the cant more than the foxx. If you get an all leather holster, you'll have to break it in to be able to draw quickly. Take a thick plastic bag or 3 shopping...

How much did you pay for your M&P Shield?

$430 used it was my first purchase.

Smith M/P line losing to Sig or Glock

Although M&P feels good in the hand and the recoil is a little better, I've had misfires with all 3 that I own. It's not unheard of, but it is very seldom to have misfires with glock. They're on the same level as sig and HK as far as reliability is goes.

    M&P Shield 9 and 40

I'm gonna switch to the shield 40 for EDC.

    New Shield

Make sure you run some hollow points through it to make sure the perform the same.

Anybody else having problems with hornady?

@garddog56 yes the rubber/gel or whatever that is in the hollow point feels rough and seems to be getting stuck on the feed ramp. @kmanick not at all curious? Lol Very common gun, very common ammo, both very popular. I seem to be in the minority here. If it wasn't so expensive, I'd ask you to...

Anybody else having problems with hornady?

Hey people, 2 guns 2 different problems. So the other day I decided to shoot some JHP through my shield 9. Third shot had a FTE. So I made a thread and said I would shoot some more of that ammo to see what happened. Sure enough had more FTE with the hornady JHP while the crappy Tula woked...

    FTE first misfire shield 9

Update It's the hollow points. Went to the range again today, shot 50 hornady JHP and 50 tula steel FMJ. The tula shot fine and the hornady, every time I loaded a new mag, the slide didn't fully return to battery, stopped just before, I had to push it in and 2 FTE. Edit: the return to battery...

    FTE first misfire shield 9

That's what I keep reading, not just here, but every time I google FTE. The gun wasn't very dirty though, just a little dry. So how does the gun pass the torture test, where they dip it in mud than fire it, but just a little dryness or dirt cause a misfire?

    FTE first misfire shield 9

I too have purposely tried to limp wrist and never had a misfire. I dont think thats the problem. I'm a pretty solidly built with a firm grip.

    FTE first misfire shield 9

Hey people, So I have about 600 rounds through my used shield and today, the very first misfire which a FTE. What's really got me in the air is, the load that jammed was my carry load. Hornady 115 JHP blue box, I just decided to shoot what was already in there before I went on to my target...

    Target ammo for Shield 9

I've never had a misfire with anything I put in my shield. Like some others said, perfecta, 9.78 at Walmart. ☺

    Monarch Ammo

I bought a box of hollow points, mistook it for target ammo. Still never shot it. I don't know, a part of me thinks it's just as good as any other JHP, but I'm not sure.

    Exotic leather belts

I ordered an elephant hide belt from armour. It's a very, very good looking belt, but soft, not a gun belt at all. Anyone have experience with elephant or any other exotic leather belt?

    No revolvers wanted!

Maybe recoil? I haven't shot too many revolvers, but the 357 snubbie I shot, really hurt my hand and I'm not recoil sensitive.
