For the money the Hornady Lock and Load AP has been such a kick *** press for me. Overall it's almost half the cost of a Dillon including supplemental hardware. Progressive is where life begins!!! I did single stage 9mm and it was such a huge waste of life.
Range report:
First day was good but had a few issues. #1. The brass was flying straight back hitting me in the face/safety glasses. #2. The slide was not staying locked to the rear when the last round in the mag was fired. 150 rounds were fired through it.
Day two. (Today) I ran 200...
You can never have enough!!
Good to hear positive feedback about this. My S&W 1911 PD 5" has set the bar quite high. Even though it's an aluminum frame I have ran at least 6-7k through it and I even purchased it used. It shoots groups are usually all 8 rounds are touching or damn near...
I just purchased my first Colt. It's also the first non S&W weapon I've purchased in years...
I'm very excited for it. I wanted a 1911 in 9mm to run in Single Stack Minor at USPSA matches and also for bowling pin shooting. (Now I won't be sad if I lose brass)
What do you guys think? I'm...
New bar is in. Along with a spare. Made as small adjustments as possible. Slammed the slide back pretty hard a quite a few times and no dead trigger. I'll run some through it at the pin shoot Thursday. Hopefully it'll be good to go.
Totally, and like I said, range hot-rod have at it. My concern is that in the real world sometimes maybe a grip gets partially shown or such, loading grocery's, kid in the car, ect... A gigantic bright shiny colored piece of anodized aluminum is going to grab someone's attention much quicker...
