I picked one up a while back and and they replaced the sights on it but mine shoots about 2 inches low at 16 yards. Would love to find some replacement sights for it.

Mine unfortunately did not come with a box. Wished it did and don't understand why gun owners throw away the original box that it came with.

I carried it all day today on a very long motorcycle ride. Didn't hardly notice it was even there. Have a friend with an older S&W 10 round double stack mag. Looks just like the one I have only hold two less rounds?

Your right it's not a 1911 my mistake. Are there grips still available for them. I went into my LGS and they did have a extra flush mag for it in stock.

Won on a local auction a very nice 6906 today. Have always wanted a 9mm 1911 pistol. Condition is excellent. Don't know that much about these but I think $365.00 is a good price. Looking forward to some range time with it.

Just finished cleaning it and oiling it after shooting it yesterday. Don't know when it was cleaned and oiled last. Did have a couple of light strikes on Magtech ammo. Left a dimple in the primer and no fire but rotated it around again and it fired. Hmmm, switched over to American Eagle 38 ammo...

I think I'm going to like this S&W very much and like I said I love the way it shoots. It really does not show a lot of wear on it.

Guy I bought it from said he bought it off of a place like gun broker 3 years ago and said he never fired it.

Picked up today a Smith and Wesson 686-1 Distinguished Combat Magnum in 357. Took it to the range and it fired excellently. This pistol is a fine shooter and was able to keep most hits in the heart ring at 50 feet.
